You'Re Gone

Each night I slept
I held you tight
Each tear I wept
Is for tonight

You once were here
And now you're gone
You once held me
And sang a song

The days were long
The nights were hot
You once were here
And now you're not

Second Thoughts

The conversation was casual
But you had it planned
You caught me off guard
When you took my hand

You told me you loved me
And always would
You wanted to get married
And asked if I could

I was so nervous
I started to cry
Then you got nervous
And asked me why

I was just so happy
Is what I said
You just laughed
And shook your head

This day is not even
A year gone past
So why am I wondering
Will it last?

Lost

She was so young.
How could she know?

She just wanted acceptance.
How far would she go?

She went where he said,
And she did what he said.

Now she is changed
She can't go back
to regain what she lost.

She is sad and lonely.
How could she know it would be this way?
