Bruised Peach

Never let go, the
strand of my hair
tucked behind
your stare

Exquisitely soft,
as my fingers
cross..

Even the simplest
of touches, burn
their imprints
into the skin,

So that every root
and every vein
I have felt,

Whispers your name.

I Lost You That Day

I lost you that day
when it was
raining,

And drops
of your face
clumsily,

r o l l e d away.

I Imagine You

I imagine you
always, for the first time
burgeoning like an
arum lily

Some exotic flower
falling off the back-end
of a truck, floating
with the breeze
into my hands

I imagine you
as I do, in certain dreams
statuesque in your movements,
so float towards me
as a dream,

I am a non-existent entity
propelled by your perfume
and midnight gardens light

When I imagine you
eternally, in the mirror
of my eyes.

These Little Eyes

I watched her
dropping the phone,
in nano movements

My heart stomped
out, the harshness
of a dial tone

And from endless
holes, these little eyes
scrunched with sadness

I suppose, I didn't know
what it meant to die
or why the tears
stuck to me

Sickle celled with
every memory,
around the lobes
of my being

Where I could
still hear you laugh,
the breaths of air

Grew arms

-- and comforted me.

Hey Fiddle Fiddle

He fiddled
with his foreskin,
pulling the taunts over

The tip of his nose,
it still stung, from when
Gary Mother****in' Jackson
(a strapping lad who insisted
this should have been his middle
name, after taking up a pool
job one summer)

Had pushed him, rather
abruptly into the bushes,
and those branches

Feeling like hands, poked
and prodded into the depth's
of his skin and he'd walked

Through that day, red and
welty, like an overgrown zit.

I'M Sorry

I'm sorry for awl the prayers

Youse darn tootin' sure
we'll be gettin up for church
on a Monday mornin'

Huh dearie?

That brain is so itty bitty
I could pick it up- with
both thumbs

Like the invisible crumbs
laying- on our coats and pegs
ya hear?

Wrap 'em oats around yer legs
real good now

It'll rain

Oh lawd I know it will
everyday of our lives
it be rainin'.

I Pinky Promise

I am, in moments apart
though dark, looking
in-between the shadows

Always, a whisper away
a footstep behind..
echoing doors

And the hand that
brushes, softly on
your cheeks

I stain my kisses
each time you sleep

Closer, than far
the star of stars
in the sky of skies

I lie, inside your heart
inside the beats, I hide.

Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch Nights

Where was I,
absent?

In thoughts of abstinence

You crawl, like the leach
and I am your wall

Against a stream
unlocking
dreams

Of a shadow-less room
I know, what you want
to do

But

Your fingers slip through

-- the air.

Endless

Somewhere among
the sleepy coconut heads,
I trailed towards a song.

Twilight and the essence
of a Moon, dashed dartingly
between the legs of my shadow
and I remember the feel of those
words, as if they fell like leaves

Only I was the tree cradling each
syllable the wind whispered-

A silent mourning, so beautifully
bejeweled that the clouds became
entangled with my cheeks and the
rain and my tears wept, together.

For as I entered this song carved
by the hands of an angel, I found
that tomorrow was but an endless
string of dancing footsteps,

Covering the bleak realities of my world.

Dripping

Remember that time
you bought a gallon
of cherry juice--

And didn't
have the decency
to pour it into
a cup

Of course-- it fell

From the hand less bodies
reaching

-- amiss

I couldn't help but notice..
all the cracks it filled.
