loneliness drowns the tender reed
loneliness leaves your soul to bleed
loneliness an endless aching need
loneliness just you, it's only seed
loneliness it's the heart, afraid of breaking
loneliness a nightmare, afraid of waking
loneliness that never learns to dance
loneliness that never takes the chance
loneliness who cannot seem to give
loneliness that never learns to live
loneliness the road has been too long
loneliness for the lucky and strong

it's always straight
love you can relate
or need to have faith
love can light the sky
one spark of delight

our economy is a falling
corporate greed is sailing
rich have everything
congress doesn't a thing
don't keep all your wealth to yourself
here's my offer
rich fill the coffer
can you lend a hand
no promises in sand
don't keep all your wealth to yourself
do you need a yacht longer
assets that are stronger
can you share some wealth
stop paying taxes in stealth
don't keep all your wealth to yourself
our country has problems
rich just don't see the problems
well it's time for you all to see
to give your portion I believe

to me I like it that you're bold

I love the gleam in your eye

sleepless til next time we'd meet
with you everything feels so right

NOT BECAUSE I'M RICH OR POOR
SHARED MANY OF LIFE'S PLEASURES
LET THESE WORDS LINGER IN YOUR EARS
HARD TIMES COME AND GO
BUT IT'S LIFE THAT'S FULL OF TREASURES
DON'T LET LIFE SLIP AWAY
IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOUR STRAIGHT OR GAY
IF YOU LOVE SOMEONE LET EVERYONE KNOW
I'M PLEADING WITH YOU TO LET IT ALL OUT
