For the Love of Food

A girl found herself being wooed,
By a variety of wonderful food,
She became so excited,
And extremely delighted,
So ran around all in the nude.

Misjudged

the wrong end of the stick was got,
it did not take an awful lot,
the words that were misunderstood,
how could she get it wrong, many would,
completely got this one wrong,
the beginnings of an ugly song,
that would spiral out of control,
now those words are on a roll,
down a path they will be lead,
instead of being put to bed,
but its kept alive much, much longer,
the words are getting stronger and stronger,
gaining meaning, shape and size,
others will try to summarise,
what to interpret from this situation,
relatives, friends on a word creation,
adding their bit to the group,
a never ending sentence loop.

Dream On

She had her girls and husband too,
She new what she wanted,
She new what she had to do,
She spent time, and days visiting the dream,
The weekends and holidays is all it had been,
Now the time had come for her to go,
But another role was there in show,
A grandmother she was about to become,
Her youngest daughter to be a mum.

Confusion

I am not always together,
on many, many days,
I struggle to find consistency,
to keep me from astray
I can not cope with being,
all good and always there,
it makes me so unhappy,
it makes me hard to bare,
I can not see a way through,
of the muddle and the din,
why don't you just be brave, once,
and hand it all back in.

I Love You

I love you more than words can say,
I love you each and every day,
Your smile lights me up inside,
Your look makes my stomach ride,
I want to say I love you more,
Its undeniable and there for sure,
I want you always there with me,
To walk the sand, and view the sea,
To run through forest and visit our tree,
To always be there next to me.

Its Hard Being Young

When I was one I sucked my thumb and that's what I would do,
When I was two I tried so hard to put on my own shoe,
When I was three I push a swing that hung from my apple tree,
When I was four I reach up and opened my front door,
When I was five I felt scared inside when going off to school,
When I was six I was given licks for wishing I were white,
When I was seven I cried so hard to keep me away from heaven,
When I was eight I was so often late when going off to school,
When I was nine I helped to hang the washing on the line,
When I was ten I walked home with friends across a park so green,
When I was eleven I started big school and prayed so hard for heaven.

Chops

Strong and dependable, kind and good,
The boy, the man now as he stood,
Work, study, dance and love,
To find shelter under the stars above,
You have grown through time well spent,
Do not worry or lament,
For happiness is yours to gain,
Keep on going, and never strain,
To look at life through honest eyes,
And see a world with new surprise,
Go on thus till ending time,
My lovely boy, forever mine.
