Blood

Blood.
As it streams through my veins,
It has history and ancestry.
Blood.
As I look her in the face,
I see those that are apart from me.
Blood.
Streaming down my face,
A fight with another race.
Blood.
Screaming is my mouth saying,
“Why does this have to be my …”
Blood.
I want new,
Blood.
With no history of slaves, with no history of chains,
With no history of ropes, with no history of hopes,
Blood.
Holding big clumps of her hair,
Wondering why she’s lying there
In her own pool of …
Blood.
In the other hand a knife,
Hold up, this can’t be right,
And why is it covered in her…
Blood.
I find her words have angered, I find her words have torn.
I find her actions have killed my pride.
She’s unleashed those years of beatings, those years of rapes.
Those years of no eating and spit in the face.
Those years of hatred, those years of tears.
Discrimination because we didn’t have the same…
Blood.
Now I am locked up because,
This one has unleashed those years of racism and hatred.
Now I am locked up because,
This one has blocked up the forgiveness I felt for the words from her mouth.
Now she’s blacked out.
Not to see another day,
Not to hear another sound.
Now she’s blacked out.
Not to say another word or to curse me because,
We do not share the same…
Blood.

For You Are......

For the way you are is new to me,
Your pride and strength and dignity.
For whom so knows how to react to someone like you?
For you are one who intimidates.

For the way you are makes me wonder,
why do your actions boom like thunder?
Why do your words inspire me so?
For you are one who astonishes.

For the way you speak, that way you say,
it makes me want to hear you everyday.
As I leave in closing,
For you are chosen to steal my heart,
like you did from the start.

Accidents

Accidents cause hate,
As accidents take shape.
These accidents can kill,
But they’re only accidents.

Accidents can cause,
And accidents prevent.
Accidents make the world,
Our accidents can effect.

Accidents flip our minds,
As accidents take up time.
And accidents can be covered,
Then accidents will be discovered.

Accidents cause hate,
As accidents can kill.
We must take shape,
And prevent them we will.

Sacrifice

As I sit here and wonder about my life,
I’ve shown that life’s a sacrifice.
Many dream of wealth and riches and gold ness.
Others dream of health and stitches from coldness.
A sacrifice is given, not taken by force.
By God this power is given.

A sacrifice of life, a sacrifice of death.
A cry of happiness and then sadness.
For we weep for the souls of our sisters and brothers lost by the wrath of God.

We sacrifice and find that everything will be right,
But we find that it ma not on our knees in the night.
For a sacrifice is given, not taken by force.
But the one sacrifice I love is from God of course.
