Adebayo Abass Olalekan Poem
In quandary I stood
Like a child
Who's lost his way.
Sockets rolling,
Eyes probing,
Two beautiful roses beckon.
Rule: Thou shall take not more that one.
Rose A,
Rose B,
Both full of love and life.
Selfish mind,
Desiring both,
Impossible wish.

Adebayo Abass Olalekan Poem
I am a blessing to my generation,
A light that shines bright and true,
A beacon of hope and inspiration,
For all that I encounter, old and new.
I strive to make a difference,
To touch the lives of those I see,
To spread love and understanding,
To set the world free.
For I know that I have been blessed,
With gifts and talents to share,
And I will use them to the best,
To show that love and kindness are everywhere.
I am a blessing to my generation,
A force for good in a troubled land,
I will stand tall and with determination,
To lend a helping hand.
For when we all work together,
And embrace the things that make us strong,
We can build a brighter future,
Where love and hope belong.

Round pegs in square holes.
Many seasons come and go.
How then can we grow?

Kindness.
Utmost selflessness.
Giving, empathizing, understanding.
Sunshine in people's lives.
Compassion.

Adebayo Abass Olalekan Poem
Rich.
Poor.
Rich enough to buy hectares.
Poor without a plot.
Possesses many mansions.
Can't even afford a block.
Six feet for everyone.
Vanity.

Adebayo Abass Olalekan Poem
My mind races back and forth
I close my eyes, yet you plague my thoughts
A thief, stealing my meditation
Invading my mind all day long.
Could it be because of your sweet tender voice?
That still rings in my head,
Or because you, a colorful rose, sprung in April?
Standing tall and gorgeous.
I love your self-belief and confidence
And your sparkling white thirty-two.
A statuesque beauty with attractive vanities,
My arms are open wide...
While I painfully await your return,
Remember "crash and burn" while we are apart.

Adebayo Abass Olalekan Poem
I saw a pearl.
A peerless pearl.
I court the pearl.
I caught the pearl.
My pearl was pure.
I jubilate on my triumph.
A thunderstorm.
My pearl slipped away...

Loving, unconditionally.

Adebayo Abass Olalekan Poem
Deep in thought
Looking at the moon
Through a clear blue sky
The chirping birds
Singing different melodies
Yet failing to get my attention
I wish I could sing you a song
A lullaby
To serenade your soul
And sing you to sleep
But I am no Lemar
I wish I could write you a poem
A sonnet
That will touch your heart
And express my deepest feelings
But I am no Shakespeare
I wish I could melt your heart
With words
And assure you that
Together we can see the sunlight
And your burdens I wish to share
I kept on wishing...
Will you hold my hand?

Adebayo Abass Olalekan Poem
There was once a man, so fair and so bold
He lived in a castle, with treasures untold
He had wealth beyond measure, and power to spare
But he lived his life, with no one to share
One day, he met a woman, so sweet and so true
She captured his heart, with a single glance at her view
He knew he had found, the love he'd been seeking
And he vowed to protect her, with everything he was keeping
Together they roamed, through fields and through streams
Their love grew stronger, like a rose in the beams
They laughed and they danced, under the moon's light
Their love shone brighter, than any star in the night
But alas, their happiness was not meant to be
For the woman grew sick, and the man was set free
He watched as she slept, with tears in his eyes
His heart was breaking, as he said his goodbyes
He vowed to never love, in that way again
For the pain of losing her, was more than he could sustain
But as he walked away, from the woman he loved
He knew deep down, that his love for her was never done
And so the man lived, with a heavy heart and a lonely soul
But he never forgot, the love he once knew
For even in death, their love remained true
A love that was stronger, than anything he knew.
