The Little Pink Cloud

A little pink cloud rolled slowly across the sky,
Upon looking closer I saw a tear fall from his eye,
Why are you so sad I asked as he rolled on by,
He looked at me carefully and let out a huge sigh,

There is always such peace up here in the sky,
But looking down on earth always makes me cry,
The people living there should be quite ashamed,
For all that's wrong on earth they can only be blamed,

There is hatred, prejudice and a lack of respect for life,
There is jealousy, no kindness and so much strife,
There are wars, weapons and a drug epidemic of fools,
And it seems power and money gets to stretch all the rules,

If they are not careful they will ruin your planet earth,
And if they do that then what will it all be worth?
Be kind to all people and make everyone understand,
You must clean up your world and take a strong stand,

The little pink cloud said I think you heard all I said,
And I hope my message will continue to spread,
I want to enjoy my time rolling around the sky,
And not look down on earth and always want to cry!

The Spaceship

The spaceship floated though the dark night sky,
The crew was so excited their expectations very high,
They had planned this mission for so very long,
Anxious to land they hoped things wouldn't go wrong,

They traveled to this galaxy from very far away,
Leaving families behind they used their time to pray,
They were anxious to see what the inhabitants would be like,
would they be so very different or maybe somehow alike?

The spaceship slowly descended and landed in a field,
They all wore smiles their excitement couldn't be concealed,
They waited till daylight before venturing outside,
They had many questions and hoped none would be denied,

As the sun began to rise they emerged from the ship,
Each one climbed down a latter and onto a landing strip,
When they looked up they saw thousands of aliens around,
No one moved a muscle and for miles there was no sound,

The captain of the ship was the first one to speak,
We come in peace from far away and friendship is what we seek,
Our people are kind and helpful and possess much worth,
A voice rang out from the crowd saying . . . Welcome to our planet Earth!
