Sisters, Friendships

TO MY SISTERS AND FRIENDS, SPIRITUAL AND NATURAL

LOVE SHOWED UP, HE GAVE ME YOU AND YOU TO ME
FRIENDSHIPS FORMED TOGETHER, WE ARE AS GOD SAID IT SHALL BE

SO MANY THINGS, TRIALS, TESTS, WE ALL HAVE SHARED
SO MANY WAYS WE HAVE SHOWED EACH OTHER JUST HOW MUCH WE
REALLY CARED

YOU MY SISTERS; MY FRIENDS HAVE ALLOWED ME TO LEAN ON YOU SO I
WOULDN'T STAND ALONE,
TO YOU, I OFFER MY SHOULDER, THANKFUL FOR ALL THE STRENGTH YOU'VE
SHOWN.

GOD SENDS SISTERS AND SPECIAL FRIENDS INTO OUR LIVES
TO SHARE IN LAUGHTER, TO BE A COMFORT WHEN WE OUR HEART CRIES.

MAY THE GOD OF GRACE BLESS OUR MANY TALKS
MAY THE GOD OF GRACE THE JOURNYS WE'LL TOGETHER WALK.

I BELIEVE LOVE BROUGHT US TOGETHER FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS
HE GAVE YOU TO ME, SISTERHOOD, FRIENDSHIPS
A VERY SPECIAL GIFT.

Our First Date

It was quite akward, to say the least.
This coming from a mature woman, and mother of three.

You noticed me from across the room
You made your way toward me, I hope this goes well, or else I am doomed!

Locking eyes, we gave each other a shy, yet warm kind of smile.
I then knew I wanted this date to last awhile.

Introductions were made, you lead me to our seats,
A dozen red roses waiting for me, this guy is smooth, rather neat!

Anxiety, nervousness began to grow,
Sensing it, you grabbed my hands, encouraging me to let them go.

I leaned back in my chair, I began feeling this first date would be alright.
I really wanted it to last well into the night.

We laugh, we danced, had conversations of various sorts.
You leaned in for a kiss, this was fast, but good of course!

Our first date was the first of many, the beginning of a new life,
You as my husband, and me as your wife.

There Is a Place Where I Can Go

There is a place where I can go; where joy surrounds me,
granting me an abundance of peace and serenity.

There is a place where I can go receiving much needed rest,
when I am tired, weary from life's trials and test.

There is a place where I can go for spiritual connection
free from all evil and self destruction.

There is a place where I can go to be lifted carried by my Master's hand
leaning on Him until I am able to stand.

There is a place where I can go.
Take my hand, you and I.

Come with me, please my friend, join me at my Master's hand.

So What

So what if I feel I've been wronged,
I know whose In am and where my heart belongs.

I may have had my feelings hurt but quite a few,
I could do wrong and rebell, but it is righteousness that I choose.

I have been yelled at, cursed at, ridiculed, and shamed.
My guardian, my protecter with me so I felt no pain!

Some despitefully spite in my face, their aim didn't touch my heart;
I was shielded by His saving grace.

"So what", I ask; if I've been wronged? I know whose I am and where my heart
belongs!

In the Mist of It All

You told the raging storm, the blowing winds to "STOP, no more!"
"Let there be calmness all around, for I the Lord,
am in the mist of it all"

You told that wrenching pain, the crippling bones, the burning sensations that attact the body to,
"STOP, by my stripes healing begins",
for I the Lord am in the mist of it all!"

You told that broken spirit, that torn heart, that depressed mind to,
"STOP, rise up stand up! Victory begins, for
I the Lord am in the mist of it all!"

Then you spoke to the people of the world,
"Enough is enough! Will you place you faith in me,
for I the Lord am here in the mist of it all!"
