Letting Go

You gave It your all
I couldn't ask for anything more
I know you're leaving soon
But I know you are coming back
Not in body but in spirit
I've wept and I've wept
But what will crying do?
I know that you would want me to smile
I want to smile too.
Merry Christmas Grandma,
Our last one this so bitter
You are a fighter
Cancer is a bully
You gave a fight and that's all I could have ever wanted
I envy you, I love you, you brave, brave soul.
I love you.

Realization

A beautiful, beautiful girl you are
Who are you and why do others see you
Except me, I do not I see ugly
I see a girl who is worn and is torn
I constantly wish to meet this beauty
It seems she is afraid to come forward
Day in and Day out I pray endlessly
I pray she lets free and I encounter
A game of hide and seek is all she knows
Frustrated I scream where are you goddess
Looking in a mirror I see her face
The beautiful girl is me I am her
How could I be so blind and so naïve?
A flower has blossomed that flower me.
I am beautiful, I am a goddess.

Patient Love

Lay in bed and my mind wanders effortlessly
To those lips, those eyes, that being
I want to be everything you have ever dreamed of
I'm dreaming of course we're not in the same solstice
I never want to admit defeat
But here I am giving up on you
I'm here when you want me
Rather it be near or far
