Colette Robson Poem
You have been a Mother
I have never had
The Mother who cares
The Mother who shares
I know at times we
Don't see eye to eye
But to live by your side
I walk with pride
You showed me love
Even from above
I can't speak the words
So I should go unheard
But to write for you
That's what I will do
To prove the love
I have for you
I am deeply sorry
If I have hurt you
I hope and pray
We don't stay this way
So we can be a family
The one I long for
The one I'm scared of
The one from above
Please understand
Where you stand
As a Mother so grand
I'm sorry for the past
You are one who cares
How can I say the words
To cover the hurt?

Colette Robson Poem
A hidden beauty
From the world around
Far to go, much to see
How can one not go
The city is small with shops galore
The towns are wide, people and pride
How can one not go?
Perth is isolated, yet beauty beyond
Water so smooth your eyes won't move
From it's sparkling ray
The streets are clean
People look out ! Cars won't stop!
Let's all stop and enjoy the flock
That flew over the waters around.
Roads so long they took their toll
But really it's rear they are so bare.
How could you not go
To Perth and see it's beauty
Of a Country within Australian waters
What a hidden beauty!

Colette Robson Poem
Once there stood a tree so Grand
With yellow flowers and confidence,
She bent and swayed with each day
So eventually I came her way.
Her branches grew so very strong
Around the small and broken one
She guided me through those trees
Taking each step so wonderfully
The tree so strong stood watching me grow spiritually
Then somehow withered woefully
I did not notice her go away,
Unaware of her despair, I marched Onwards
Without warning, she became tangled with vines,
so painfully
Now I see the tree you used to be
You were so strong and we did belong
But now you’re gone, oh! What went wrong?
That tree is my mother I followed so close
And God made her strong and we did belong
To someone so wonderful, but someone else could see
The happiness that came to me,
so he took her away from me!
Though one branch hangs uncomfortably
My tree tries to grow stubbly
While God lifts my head brisk fully
I know in my heart, me and my family
Will go on serving him faithfully
But deep in my heart I can’t help but see
The pain of loosing that one, once, Grand tree.

Colette Robson Poem
Her eyes were wide
With joy and love
Nothing filled the heart
Like a little love
Her eyes sparkled
With every breath
Her telling tale
Of the Baby within
Her eyes dimmed
When things turned in
From spots and dots
She didn't think a thing
Her eyes were prickled
As she sprinkled a life
So small on the floor
near the toilet so small
Her eyes flooded holding
Him so near
Her heart ached as she
Saw his last breath disappear.

Colette Robson Poem
The weather is great
And so is your mate,
Let's go down the Pin
And get those mackerel
So let those reels spin
Then pull in the brim
Cause life's never grim
With a four ex grin!

Colette Robson Poem
Are you happy when you marry?
Or are you shy and don't ask why?
Things are never as they seem
Do you mean people marry
The people they have never seen?
Absolutely not, what a load of rot!
People marry because they love each other
To keep one another
To have each other
They walk down to say " I do!"
Then kiss in front to hear the "Phew!"
Are you saying people love, even though they might
Not fit the same glove?
To have and to hold
Until they are old and never part?
It's like a work of art!
Because her Father gave her to you,
To love and cherish till the end.
Do you think the rules will bend?
Of course they won't, it's not a joke!
The Father was serious to give her away.
But, today who is on display?
To show his worthy because his blind
He touched her face and breathed
In a sigh, as he felt her precious eyes.
Though, he is blind, he has always felt
In his heart what she could see,
The true love from above.
