She Dying To Survive

deprived of a father to tell her that her skirts to small
she wore it to hug her hips and rise with every sway in her walk
her mother, another statistic of having babies to young,
was to whipped in her dip trying to be hip so she cheered her poor child on

she's dying to survive in a broken home
daddy not around to watch her spend a penny and mamas hardly home
she's dying to survive and she's put her school on hold
she's another undereducated black child with no priorities or goals

she careers soliciting her body, making it hobby to walk up and down blocks
waiting for the right brotha she can sweet talk and pick pocket
at the honk of his horn, she stops hot trotting
hopped in his car and found a quiet spot for lip locking

her hand rises up his leg, she feels for his man
he nods giving her consent
she prices her body for those new Jordan and dolce & gabbani
she'd rather rock the latest fashions then to feed her starving body

she's hopelessly devoted to being the hottest at the parties
she's dying to survive wanting attention to feel the space neglected by another
who makes alcohol a hobby
she's dying to survive rich living is her poverty

she's deaf to her inner voice that yells to her it's wrong
she confides in bad associates who cheer her on
she doesn't know this is how she's dying
she's dying to survive

Im Tired

i'm tired of these boys that aint no good
i'm tired of these boys that aint goin nowhere, ghetto for life, no further than the
hood
i'm tired of these boys poppin females off and goin to jail
i'm tired of these boys that get out and continue to sale
i'm tired of these boys tryna be pimps, playas, hoes
got the nerve to call us runners, and they pros
i'm tired of these boys thats fine, all in theyself, wasteing our time
im tired of these boys fake blinging, drama bringing, heart breaking, time
wasteing, good looks, wrong attitude, not all that and still rude
im tired of these boys that cant take no for an answer
im tired of these boys that girls are chasing after
filling up their head, got them thinking they whats it
comin at me like their a priviledge
im tired of these boys life about gettin high
im tired of these boys that got the upper hand and choose to die
im tired of these boys thats triffalin, rivalin, killen they own, talk stuff, hang on
corners, always drunk
im tired of these boys that wanna be thug, buck, talk to much, got big heads, little
gut
always who's the man, high fives cuz yo hit that ass, you got hers dont mean you
gone get mine
im tired of these boys thats immitating, irritating, aggravating, instigating,
munipulating, humiliating, degrading, betraying, lover claiming, lust gaining,
coochie fienen, disease springing, baby creating, drug related, dumb but
educated
im tired of these boys that see the street life exciting and the ones that think
there's no other road
i understand it's not easy growing up in the ghetto world
but while you were taught to sale, deal, smoke, drink, drugs
while you were taught money, streets, attitude, gangs, thug
while you were taught babies, babymamas, sex, drama
while you were taught pimps, playas, hoes, who's the man
try to learn how to be a man
my ladies are tired

My Love For Him

I lay in his arms
sleep but aware of his presence
I dream of blue oceans
I dream of blue seas
each warm kiss I feel from him
the water becomes wetter in my dreams
I dream of a shipwreck
we're deserted out at sea
so I sing of my love for him in the sweetest melody
and I sing of my love for him hoping he'll swim along
I sing of my love for him as he slowly becomes the sea
the love I sing for him carries on through decades eternally
now I sing to collect souls
I cursed the sea to stir the waters and wreck the sailors boats
I sing of my love for him in the sweetest melody
to lure in and claim the lives as sacrifices
for my love I lost at sea

Amber

my skin is the color of a mellow yellow
Amber given from African trees
my eyes dark brown are like those of an ancient egyptian queen
my lips are as soft as the petal of a rose and as pink as a charms blow pop
my frame is lady petite with curves like Halley Berry and just enough of what
J-Lo's got
my goal is to become successful by the age of 25
my dream is to become famous modeling, acting, singing, dancing, broadcasted
live
my world is as fast as amtrack
but seems as slow as a snale
I apply myself to the fullest refusing to believe that only sex sells
i'll never know the deciever so I trust all but the devil inside them
I work hard for what I need and my wants become plentyful when provided
I treasure myself deeply cause I am gifted with many talents
I am who I am for a reason so I dont try to be more than I can handle
My hobby is writing how I feel expressing freedom and piece of mind
my daily activity is weaving, styling womens hair to their liking
my boyfriend is my soother because he embraces me and cooks to nourish my
soul
I trust myself to believe in me even when others dont
I dedicate myself to the people who make my heart shine like the sun and glow
like the moon
I demand respect from all while displaying respect for all to
I am a beautyful berson because beauty lives in me
my beauty is displayed in many ways and recognized by all who meet me

We Sing Sin

we sing sin like it is pure
showing no remorse cause we're unsure
whether we should love or hate the infection we spread
to have all sick by laying in ones bed
presenting passionate love
fooled by revengeful lust
so many fight for their life
selfishness prevents a cure for us
so we suffer from loneliness
easily seduced by the predator
pride is the weakness that makes us prey
cause were blind of our inner peace that we will never know
afraid to face the world who is quick to yell I told you so
continuously singing this song of sin
sincerely I beg humble yourself
in order that we may live

Secrets

im looking in your eyes and you've got a secret to tell
its not that your shy your just not ready to share it
I can understand that
it drives you crazy the way you look into my eyes and my secrets well kept
I may one day be willing to exchange them but right now we can just leave them
where they at
now your conversation really doesn't intrigue me but it moves me enough to
respond
your choice of topic humors me so I see no harm in keeping it going
now don't stop your mature foolishness in the defense of me mistaking it as
ignorance
I like it that you were blessed with the ability to make me smile
and I like it that you feed my conceit
giving me thoughts of your music being my laughter
you know what else is funny
my secret is that I like you
and all alone I knew your secret was that you liked me to
