My Heart

My heart is in pieces, shattered and bruised
The hardest part of being used
I'm picking up what is left, locking it away
A keyless lock, combination unknown
A fragile heart without a home
Shake the box, foundation undone
A tiny piece given here or there
Not easily done, scared to be broken once more

Moving On

SEEING BEAUTY IN IMPERFECTION
Christina Oswald
December 06, 2013

Imperfect hollow inside no turning back
Closed door open no more
A chapter to a book hopefully forgotten
Pages yellow, tattered, and broken
An innocence and heart stolen
Time lost not to be regained
Moving on, step by step
No time or room for regret
Stronger upon each step
Moving on is easy, but the reasons hard to forget

No One Knows

No one knows the hurt inside
The pain of failure that I hide
Time wasted on a forever vow
All the promises broken now
Heart broken two halves not whole
Tiny fragments of a soul
A better tomorrow is a maybe
I need someone to save me
From the dark that I know
I want to show
Share myself with the world
Let others know
That I have more to give than a broken spirit
