Do You Believe In Magic

Do you believe in magic? It’s just fantasies you say?
Well let me try to show you how it’s there for you each day
Have you ever thought of someone you’ve not seen for quite some time?
Someone you really love and miss but don’t know how to find?
Yet after pensive, focused thought as strange as it may seem
That person gets in touch with you, almost like in a dream
Coincidence you want to think but is it more than that?
Does the magic of your focused thought create a love place mat?
Then when you’re feeling doubtful of an action you might take
Something way deep down inside of you tells you it’s a mistake
You listen to that little voice that’s shouting this is wrong
And later learn of tragedy on the path you might have gone
Did imagination play a part in feeling what you felt?
Or does magic intuition help to deal what cards we’re dealt?
Have you ever felt the deep remorse for someone who has passed?
You still hear and see and feel them yet they’re gone and you’re aghast!
You spend endless hours just thinking of the times you shared with them
You take tearful walks and wonder if you’ll ever meet again.
Then one magic night it happens in the midst of love’s sweet dreams.
There they are with smiles and loving eyes and healthiness supreme.
It’s a dream so real you feel that you’ve indeed gone back in time.
And you wake up really wondering was it real or just in mind.
Have no doubt it really happened with the magic of your love
For the loved ones that we love and lose reach out from up above
To let us know in sweet dreams that they now are doing fine
And to help in bringing closure to your heart and soul and mind.
It’s the magic that we’re blessed with that helps guide us day by day
And we only need deep love and faith to see it on display.

Magic Toys

Have you ever really wondered
What goes on when children sleep?
All cuddled up inside their beds
And having dreams so sweet?
Through a room that’s softly darkened
Did you perhaps peek in and see
Distant movements in the shadows
And wonder what it could be
And did what you see surprise you
Dancing dolls and teddy bears
Toy soldiers all stanced for battle
Micky Mouse rocking his chair
Was that slinky doggie moving towards
The closet in the room
To have fun with his good buddy
That big overstuffed baboon?
Was that Raggedy Ann and Andy
Gently hugging your sweet child
As he lay there soundly sleeping
In his sweet angel like style?
Now you’re really in amazement
Are you seeing what you see?
Can the toys a child loves so much
In darkness move and breathe?
Perhaps we’ll never really know the answer to this question
For if they do,
They try it seems to have a private session.
Although you may be grown and think you’ve outgrown childish things
Your inner child is still alive, relish the joy it brings.

Fairies In the Mists

Have You Ever Seen a Fairy?

Have you ever gone out to your garden at dawn
And checked out the flowers with dewdrops still on?
Seen the prism like mist on your roses so sweet
Heard the crickets serenading as if morning to greet
And then did you look closer and were you amazed
At some small fluttering wings that attracted your gaze?
Did you ebb ever closer as quiet as could be
To make sure that you saw what you thought you did see
And there the sweet little fairies
Danced merrily in place
Stopping briefly to smile and look up at your face.
And then right back to playing and fluttering around
Washing tiny little faces with dew drops they found
Didn’t their beauty and delicacy tug at your heartstrings?
Especially when you thought you had seen everything
Fascination alone keeps you steadfast in place
As you watch them all prancing with elegance and grace
Though you read about fairies in nursery rhymes
You had no idea you might meet them in time
After watching for so long you decide time to leave
But not before feeling something tugging your sleeve
So you turn to look back just one more last time
And what greets your eyes is exquisitely sublime
A fluttering line of fairies all waving goodbye
What a wonderfully mystical world you sigh.
