Rocky Edwards Poem
Natures imperfections fade
And pale in contrast with
The perfect little circles
That lead along to big
Perfect little circles
Formed in every way
For those that are most complete
Let imperfection stray
A spark survives
And chance ignites
New paths not yet complete
Within a new creative day
Within somewhere unique
Natures imperfections
Sometimes rather steep
Not as easily fathomed
As appearances would speak

Rocky Edwards Poem
The Forest moves only,
with the wind,
rocks in frozen tumble lay,
Time patiently watches,
my feet tread where children played,
long ago,
so very long before this day,
many smiles have walked this ground,
untold circles around this Sun,
the Forest grows slowly,
and rocks in frozen tumble lay.

Rocky Edwards Poem
Entangled head
in spider web,
I'm sure you've known
the rush.
"Where's that doggone spider gone!",
with flip, and shake, and rub.
These sticky traps across my path
bring sharpness to my eyes,
as I am the first,
to break the silver Spider Strings,
so beautifully draped across the path,
this early morning hike.
This is indeed a healthy sign,
since years of drought
swept way,
these toiling artists of the night,
to leave a less exciting hike.
This year I hope
that they return,
and multiply,
like rabbits.

Rocky Edwards Poem
Throw out the words
Like toss of dice
A scrabble game
You shuffle twice
Ink spots appear
To your delight
You now make sense
Of this.

Rocky Edwards Poem
Pick your bush clean.
"You can fill
your bucket faster ,
and have more time to play".
When my Mom was picking blackberries,
long sleeves and jeans.
My Grandmother would tell her kids,
Pick your bush clean

Rocky Edwards Poem
Old Pictures
Old pictures in a box
Wonder how they got there
Someone's misplaced memories
and forgotten cares
They open themselves up to me
and lead me back to then
to times that last forever
I thought would never end.
If you could've told me
I wouldn't have listened anyway
Old pictures in a box
old memories put away
Back now to working on
the dreams I've got today

Rocky Edwards Poem
A curious habit
I suppose
To pull this hair
Beneath my nose.
That self same habit
I have seen
Described in posters on the wall
That are most wanted
One and all.

Rocky Edwards Poem
I wrap myself,
in the sweetness,
of your dream.
Languish,
in the mystery,
of your smile.
Your tender gaze,
touches my heart,
With music
born
of
Fire.

Rocky Edwards Poem
Almost taste, but not,
trying so to see,
angst to gain a upper hand,
a spot of sympathy,
query of some feeling,
be it loneliness or glee,
awaiting so, an answer,
under the boundless wonder,
of a star filled night.

Rocky Edwards Poem
Reflections
What do I see
when I look myself in the eye?
Reflections of a teardrop,
reflections of the sky,
reflections of a longing,
to be loved and understood,
a deserts thirst for water,
and a burning sands desire,
for a passions rein.
