Isn'T She Lovely

She walked away, said good-bye
Didn't turn around, didn't hesitate
She left you, knowing that
You'd be alone, crying in pain
She made sure, you fell hard
When she dropped you, you came apart
She needed you to forget
About those that were at your door
She wanted you to be blind and say that everything was fine
She needed you for you to forget about those that actually cared
She wanted you to be fragile
She needed to be in control
You never had a word
Everything revolved around her- so now tell me:
Isn't she lovely?
Isn't she wonderful?
Isn't she harmless?
Isn't she beautiful?
Aren't those the words you whispered before she left?
Isn't she the one that changed her mind?
Isn't she the one that made you cry?
Isn't she the one that stole your heart?
Isn't she the one that tore it apart?
Isn't she the one you fell for?
Isn't she the one that dropped you hard?
Is she the same girl you fell in love with?
It's all a cycle, everything going round and round
Nothing ever changes, everything stays the same
She breaks you, you cry in pain and then you take her back
You swore it's the last time 5 times ago
You hold her tight, sacrifice your rights,
just to see that devious smile.
So instead of apologies, why don't you start over?
Instead of forgiving, why not just forget?
Think about it:
Sure she's lovely,
sure she's beautiful.
sure she's harmless,
sure she's wonderful.
But she changed her mind.
She made you cry.
She stole your heart,
She tore it apart.
She dropped you hard
When you fell for her
She isn't the same girl, you once fell in love with-before.

Can You Say

Remember that day
Way back in grade school
You walked me to my classroom
You looked me in the eye,
And whispered in my ear,
 “Just be you, my dear.”
Flashback a couple more years
When you took me to my first concert
You put me on your shoulders and yelled,
“See what I see.”

Am I crazy to think that:
I haven’t said I love you to you in a while?
And I’m sorry for that,
But can you…
Can you tuck me into bed and kiss me goodnight?
Can you say that life is just jolly, sweet ride?
Can you tell me that you’ll stay by my side?
And that you’ll always be with me wherever I go?
Can you lie for me, for my happiness?
Can you swear that we will always be like this?
Can you tell me that my dreams will always come true?
And can you tell me that your best day was when I was with you?

Arms shaking, legs trembling,
I walked onto stage
Nervous for messing up,
I saw you wave
I smiled and you winked at me
That gave me all the strength needed.
Cheering for my name
Not backing down, even if others stared

You were my lighthouse, guiding me with love
Following my footsteps just because
Covering for me, when no one else cared
Watching over me, my very own angel
You’re everything to me, but can you…
Can you tuck me into bed and kiss me goodnight?
Can you say that life is just jolly, sweet ride?
Can you tell me that you’ll stay by my side?
And that you’ll always be with me wherever I go?
Can you lie for me, for my happiness?
Can you swear that we will always stay like this?
Can you tell me that my dreams will always come true?
Can you tell me that I can be anything I set my mind to?
Can you tell me to keep dreaming, and never lose hope?
And can you tell me that your best day was when I was with you?

You held on when others let go.
You marched forward, even when they said no
You stay with me, even if I’m wrong
And I can’t tell you how much I love you
But…
I love you from the bottom of my heart
And that will never change.
It was there from the start
My love for you is bigger than the sea
And we’ll always stay side by side
Just you wait and see
No matter where I go
I swear you’ll always be with me.
I hope you realize that, all of our dreams will come true
By far the best day I’ve ever had, was when I spent it with you

Everyday

It’s a masquerade-a fancy ball
Take a chance, wear a mask
A disguise is the life
Never let the truth slip out.

Play by the rules, don’t take a chance,
Don’t wait around, don’t leave a trail.
A new life, a new style…
live a lie, don’t be shy.

Outside is different, inside is same
A new name, a new face.
Keep quiet, don’t speak up
Listen-that’s enough.

Every day different, everyday same;
Always pretending that nothing has changed.
Hiding behind names, hiding behind faces-
Opening up to a new beginning.

Time Bomb

They think they understand,
they think they know the pain.
They try to guilt me into
doing what they say.

I am not scared to leave,
I am scared to stay.
The pain in my chest,
will never go away.

I am alone
in this cold, dark world.
No one to live for-
no one to die with.

My life is a time-bomb,
I am destined to explode.
The clock’s ticking on,
I have nothing to live for.

7th Heaven

Taken for granted
Everyday gone
Holding you back
Can’t be what you want
Now you’ve given up
You’ve broken free
You see everything differently
You have a choice, got make up your mind
Got no tape to stop and rewind
You’ve walked up to the final step
Pressure ain’t over,
Can’t make a mistake
Show it to the world
Show who’s in control
Let them know who you are
Show that you will fight it off
Tell them-
This is 7th heaven
This is ultimatum
This is your spotlight
This is where you shine bright
This is what it comes down to
Letting the future take you
Anywhere it wants to
This is your last chance
Your final call to freedom
Time to open up a door
See what is in store
Spread your wings and fly-y
Holding your head up high
Not backing down, not asking why
This is 7th heaven
You’ve come a long way now, can’t back down
You’ve got the world in the palm of your hands
You control it all, the final choice maker
You have what it takes, you got what it needs
All you have to do, is show it to the world
Let them know who you are, let them know where you are
Because you’ve reached the top:
This is 7th heaven
This is ultimatum
This is your spotlight
This is where you shine bright
This is what it comes down to
Letting the future take you
Anywhere it wants to
This is your last chance
Your final call to freedom
Time to open up a door
See what is in store
Spread your wings and fly-y
Holding your head up high
Not backing down, not asking why
This is 7th heaven

Everybody knows, everybody sees
That you are getting off your knees
Everybody talks, everybody thinks,
How in the world did you win?
So tell them:
I’m in 7th heaven
I’ve reached ultimatum
I’m in the spotlight
I’m shining oh-so bright
This is my last chance
My final call to freedom
I’m opening a door
Seeing what the future holds
I spread my wings and fly-y
Holding my head up high
Not letting anything bring me down
As I’m here, not on the ground
This is my time to shine,
My ultimatum…
This is 7th heaven.
