The One Known As Destroyer

Ohh the days have been many here
but that day her name was seen
struck a fear deep inside.
Could she really be that mean?

Time passed as her name
echoed in my head aloud.
I looked at her work in amaze
at how beautiful she can inspire
the words in poems she wrote.

Soon we were souper friends
continue to inspire others work
so they would become the best.
 Contest she made work
so all could see the finest.

She will be missed here
but a destryoer she was not here.

Dedicated to my best friend the poet destroyer

A Good Night Wish

As I lay here to sleep
I have thoughts of someone far away.
Holding them close to my heart
So the pain will go away.
We smile but so far away
how to see it until I dream.
Wish I was a great eagle
so I could soar upon the breeze
and land close to her side .
The nights would be filled with joy
as we walked side by side
talking about life as I gaze into her eyes.
Through her eyes I see the scars
some one left behind
which only be healed by time.
We could dance the night away
if we were side by side
but I can only dream
of this enchanted angel
that is so far away.

Lost Herd

As the sun rises
a young pioneer saddles his ride.
Mounting his horse
his young bride
his love as he rides
Off to find his herd.
 His proud mare
goes through the prairie
next to his barb wire.
He wonders in his mind
how far have they strayed.
How many day
must I ride.
He sings aloud
a song his herd
has heard
as he rode.
On yonder hill he sees
two cows grazing along
next to their side two young calves.
He hears their cries
as he tops the hillside.
In the green valley below
he sees his lost herd.

Chanting

They lived on the plains
and in the mountains.
There was warriors
and peaceful tribes.
All wore ornate head dresses
for their celebrations.
Dancing around fires
for successful hunts
and to tell stories.

Some helped pioneers
others hated pioneers.
White men sent them on a trail
full of heartbreak and death on this trail.
Just government could sell
their land to another soul.

You had greats like sitting bull
and Geronimo who fell.
Sequoiah who taught school.

Calgon Poems

What does this mean?
Could it be from within
your soul relaxin
as you read the line
that flow from my pen?

Oh to have the gift
to give all comfort
and joy as I write
I am a calgon poet.

Make your minds drift so far away
from all the worries of your day
as you read about a sunny day
or love to be someday.

To give your heart peace
as you read the poems of love
and comfort in God's peace.
I let my light for life
shine like a beacon to see
in the sea of life.

Summer Time Fun

Summers come and go, what little time
do I get that new game and play
as the summer heat peaks in time.
Will my friends be able to play?

Is my family going on a train
to somewhere so far away
where there will be so much pain
wish I was home to play.

That fishing hole down the road
where all love to spend our time.
fish big enough break my rod
as we sit in the sun from above.

It will be here so soon in time
how will I have fun this summer time

Hot Springs

Cold air all around but warm steam rises above
From springs heated from deep below.
Throwing on on shorts I slip inside
And feel my day float away.
As bubbles rises they tickle my side
As cares freely flow from my mind.
Hours pass by I relax deep into a haze
Of warm steam flowing free.

Such sweet grapes make up this luscious drink.

Coffee

Waking up to aroma
Of a gourmet
array
as you awake.
Some like it black
some take creamy.
Many stop and buy
that morning juice .
