Danny Scott Poem
he used to remember when she was in his arm.
he told himself he would protect her from any harm.
she was small and fragile like any other baby.
but now shes matured to a full grown lady.
she graduated high school along with her friends.
she left behind all the drama and the silly trends.
now its her time to continue the next chapter of life.
but the dads pain of seeing her leave is as sharp as a knife.
however she does go away for college.
she will inspire people with her knowledge.
during her college life she meets new people.
but she also hooks up with the wrong guy who is evil.
he threatens her and gives her bruises.
she is exhausted and feels like she always loses.
so she decides to overdose on a pill.
she even thinks of jumping out the windowsill.
but she knows she is stronger than this.
so she packs her things and goes back to the person she missed.
so the dad gets a surprise visit.
he says, "It's your boyfriend isn't it"?
she replies, "Yes but i wont see him anymore".
the dad replies back, "So come on in what are you waiting for".
deep down he is happy his daughter is there.
but he doesn't want to disappoint her as if he didn't care.
but during the visit she gets mixed up with gangs and thugs.
during the visit she even starts selling drugs.
but as usual someone ends up in jail.
that's when the dad pays for her bail.
but old habits die hard...
because the dad finds his daughter high in his yard.
fed up with her behavior he says, " No more!"
so he packs her things and exits her out the door.
he is upset but he knows he had to make the choice.
he closes the door and already misses the sound of her voice.
two months pass and there is a knock on the dads door.
it's his daughter severely ill and extremely poor.
she says, "Dad I'm sorry please take me back home".
he tears up replying, "Of course your still my baby girl... even if you are full grown".

Danny Scott Poem
you have to forgive and forget, it's a thing of the past...
what some people don't realize is how life flies by so fast...
sometimes you think you can continue and make the good times last...
but then you have memories of the friend that you once had...
you guys probably had lots of fun and lots of laughs...
but then your friendship ends through one argument that gets you both mad...
I lost a friend throughout my high school years and it was pretty bad...
I thought we wouldn't bump heads anymore and I was glad...
but it turns out I was wrong
because I saw them almost everyday...
I did miss the good times we had
and I knew what I had to say...
I had to admit my wrongs but I just couldn't pick a day...
I wanted to say sorry but I just wasn't brave...
but I eventually had to do it and so I finally gave...
now we kind of talk but I know things won't ever be the same...
but I can't point fingers at anyone since I'm to blame...
so when all you have lost a friend I could relate to that pain...
but just remember if you say sorry it may result in a gain...
but don't wait as long as I did if you have twice the brains...
because I waited three years... three years that went down the drain...
so if you have to say sorry tell your friend how you feel now not the next day...
and if you mean what you truly mean then you will know what to say...

Danny Scott Poem
this is a controversial poem but I ask for your attention...
everyone was born with an imperfection...
some people have an "imperfection" of what most call "GAY"...
and there are people who feel same sex marriage isn't the right way...
however no one has the right to say what they say...
so keep your comments to yourself and continue your day...
Obama legalized same sex marriage
and he is straight...
so there is nothing wrong with acceptance and it's never too late...
but even with gay marriage legalized
it's still a problem in some states...
some on the list are FL, UT, TX, MS, ME, and VA...
is this the dream country we live in known as the U.S.A.?...
when states are united as one, but through differences seem to separate?...
and being gay is not a disease, it's not a trait...
same sex couples are people too, so why show them hate?...
would you like it where you lived in a backwards world today?...
a world where you couldn't marry the one you loved because you were straight?...
I know I wouldn't want to be separated from my soul mate...
so what gives us the right to take same sex couples rights away?...
no one is perfect, flawless, or a mistake...
but we all should unite as one for all of our sakes...

Danny Scott Poem
Still stuck in confusion I wish you would shed some light...
Because now my friend loves you and now we always fight...
I promised him I wouldn't fight for a girl...
But we are only human and you seem to be my whole world...
You tell him you don't want anything with me...
But when I ask you if thats true you disagree...
You tell me you don't feel towards him as he does to you...
But he shows me texts and now I don't know what's true...
But for sure you play us both like a game...
And he comes to me for advice because he feels the same...
But out of my love for you I don't know what to say...
Except bro we'll see what happens at the end of the day...
But out of his love for you he only gets angry at me...
Saying "What kind of advice is that supposed to be?"...
Starting another argument and we both get mad...
But deep down I know we both are sad...
We both take it out on one another...
Not realizing we are hurting each other...
And I feel this has to end...
Sometimes I feel I lost a friend...
Sometimes I think of cutting you off too...
But cutting you off is impossible to do...
And I still keep asking myself why...
But I think eventually I will have to say goodbye...

Danny Scott Poem
he loves me... he loves me not...
the phrase repeated as she plucks the flower from the pot.
its summer now and the day is hot.
she knows he's cheating but to catch him she needs a plot.
she figures she'll catch him on the yacht.
he's probably drinking a glass of his finest scotch.
she just needs him drunk enough and it should be a notch.
find his phone, check his texts, and leave him on the dock.
so she heads off to meet him on his yacht.
but she finds him dead by a single shot.
she takes a step and on a note she trots.
she reads aloud, "I thought he loved me, but he loves me not. So I ended this relationship with a single shot. If you were fooled by him as well it's okay... we don't need men like him now he'll rot".

Danny Scott Poem
I know you will never love me
the way I love you...
I tell you this and you say it's
not true...
But here I am feeling you're
telling me a lie...
I wish it was easy just to leave
and say goodbye...
But my feelings for you are
stronger than ever...
I ask you if you're looking for a
relationship and you reply
never...
I know your last break up left
you in pain...
But I try to tell you not every
man's the same...
And I know how your last break
up went about...
But you're still here and you're
still stuck in doubt...
I'm not saying I am the man
who's best...
I'm trying to tell you love is like
a test...
Through each relationship you
will see if your choice was right
or wrong...
You may make a mistake once
or twice but I know you can be
strong...
It's not your first and it won't
be your last...
But you can't keep on living in
the past...
When I'm with you my heart
doesn't just beat it cries...
And I'm left here wondering
why...
Why did I have to fall in love
with your perfect smile?...
Why did I think I'd make it
worth your while?...
Why did I fall in love with the
way you stare...
When you look back at me with
your eyes that glare?...
Why did I fall in love with the
way you laugh?...
Why did i think you would love
me back?...
But it doesn't matter I can't
change your mind...
But I know you'll find the right
man in time...

Danny Scott Poem
as the mouse waits on the floor,
he hears the opening of the fridge door.
he runs across the kitchen floor,
as the owner is doing a chore.
the owner suddenly spots him on the flat kitchen floor.
he wonders what the mouse is doing and what he's looking for.
so the owner leaves the mouse alone to go open the fridge door.
the owner comes back, gives the mouse a snack, and it leaves the kitchen nothing more.
the next morning the owner is wide awake.
he goes to the kitchen and prepares to bake.
an hour later he's done and so is his vanilla frosted cake.
seconds later the mouse appears to see what he can take.
so the owner serves the mouse a small slice on a flat mini plate.
he says, "go on mouse eat at your own chosen rate.
I have to go to work or else I will be late".
the third day the owner comes home from his shift.
the mouse hears the owner and is extremely swift.
the owner spots the mouse and says, "Hey I got a gift".
the mouse gives the owner a stare wary of any tricks.
to get comfortable the owner slowly takes off his kicks.
then the owner shows the mouse a whole loaf of bread broken in tiny bits.
the mouse scurries to the bread and eats as he sits.
the owner says to the mouse, "this is the start of a beautiful friendship".

Danny Scott Poem
laying on the death bed near the monitor waiting for the continuous beep.
the old man stares through the window watching as his family weeps.
he sheds a tear as he knows death is near.
but then he remembers his great long lived years.
he remembers the amazing woman he married.
he remembers the daughter his wife once carried.
he remembers his old farm house.
he remembers it was as quiet as a mouse.
it consisted of a few animals, a corn field and a close by lake.
as a child he'd fish with his dad till it was late.
as a child he would hunt with his dad.
hunting with his dad made him glad.
he was full of childhood glee.
he felt unstoppable, happy, and free.
sometimes he would be home alone.
he'd play with his dog and throw him a bone.
when dinner came he would always eat his moms soup.
when morning came he'd get the eggs from the chicken coop.
now fast forward to his teen years.
he's on a beach with his friends, a bonfire, and a couple of beers.
they would sit in a circle and make lots of jokes.
sometimes they would go for a late night swim and get soaked.
now fast forward to the present where he lay in bed.
his hospital food brought to him to be fed.
now the daughter his wife used to hold is in the waiting room as she weeps.
what the old man doesn't realize is the continuous beep.

Danny Scott Poem
when death takes away the one you love...
you wonder if you will see them again...
when you picture their soul as free as a dove...
you know the answer there and then...
you might have to wait awhile for you and your love to reunite...
but you know you will be just like the dove joining your partner in flight...
