Over You

I’m finally over you, you know who you are the one that wanted me and someone else on your arm

I am finally over you don’t be so alarmed you thought I would stand by and watch you do me harm.

I am finally over you I have become so strong, I can still be your friend and know that I wasn’t wrong

To take my life back and love me again, and not absorb myself with your where’s and your when’s

To know that you had a gem and couldn’t tell, and now you wondering where did she go and what the hell

I am able to look at you with love in my eyes instead of looking through you with hate and despise

I am finally over you it’s so wonderful to me to know that you’re my friend and not my enemy

And when you finally wake up and realize that you care about me

I will be with the man that knew the day that he met me.

So I am finally over you no more tears in my eyes

I can finally move on now and it’s about time

I am finally over you I can say it out loud

I am FINALLY OVER U, NOW I CAN SAY GOODBYE

He

He reached into my downward spiral of solitude, wrapped himself around me completely, assimilated with my very being, and became the wings I needed. He was right on time...and so was the One who sent him (as always, because I am one of His favorites, as you know). So, here he is...a daily (favorite) part of my life, the grown-up part I look forward to, as reliable as the sunrise...sex without touching...a slo-o-o-o-o-o-o-w mind loving. How he did it, I'll never understand. It's like he took two mirrors and held them up to my heart...you know what happens when you do that...the image repeats itself infinitely. He = me x's infinity. I can only hope to compliment his existance, for his equal I will never be...never his other half...but to be the cosigner to all that he is would be enough. If I don't spend the remainder of this lifetime with him, I will certainly seek him in the next. He is my destiny, and as of this moment, I step forward and claim him. I am no longer falling down. He compels me to FALL UP

T

Another Child Lost
A man is set free
Instead of joining the cause
We get online to speak
Just imagine what might have been
With no JUSTICE & no Peace
If our leaders were like us now then
We still be in shackles from our hands to our feet
Thank God there was a Malcolm, a Martin, and Medger
But now it’s up to US to continue their ENDEAVORS!!!
Please Let’s Stop The Talk, and Walk the Walk.
PICK UP THE TORCH, STOP OUR YOUTH FROM BEING KILLED UN NECESSARY

King

King what can I say about you, you know how to hold it down, even in the midst of trials and tribulations, I have witnessed respected, and admired the way you have been knocked down, pissed off, ready to explode, and yet optimistic about your outcome. To me you have the makeup of what a Real King is, someone proud, tall, strong, a warrior, lover, friend, a father, brother, and son. You embrace your title with so much pride, and you are very Regal. I look at the shine in you, I see you smile, heard your pain, and still you have time for others and their problems. Time is on your side for you are ready to take your place back on the THRONE and be in charge of your kingdom, and with this you have chosen the one Queen that can withstand all that you endure, sees your vision, knows your heart and can be there in battle. A woman that is equally as yoked as you are. She will know the presence of greatness once you walk into her light. She will be proud to wake up to you now and 20 years later, roll over kiss your lips, and say this is my Man, My Lover My Friend,

MY KING

When

When nothing else around you makes sense and the world in front of u seems as a foreign place. When time doesn’t exist, when those around you seem to fall away. When family and friends are just blur images, when reality seems to be unapproachable. When rhyme becomes reason, when facts never have meanings. When love is just a four letter word, when honesty can never be obtained. When we as a people don't fight together, when we seem to be pulling away. When nothing else matters, when the whys become the what fors. Is when you u start to wonder what the hell am I in this for. When you think you have it all figured out and it slaps you in the face. When all you say now is Lord just give me your Saving Grace. When what made u happy is now the cause of you being Sad. When now what made you smile now makes you mad. When nothing else matters, and it’s all said and done. It’s when you start to ask yourself When Lord will I overcome!

Reality

Broken City
Broken Dreams
Broken Promises
What does this mean?
Can anyone remember?
Does anyone care?
The Battle is not over
Our freedom is still scarce
I know what you’re thinking
I know what you say
We won the election in 2008
Is that all it takes we win a race
And now you think he’s our saving grace
It takes more than a man
It takes me it takes you
Is there anyone out there?
If so do you know what to do?
Let’s fight for what’s ours
Let’s start it today
Equality, Freedom and the American Way
The will to be all we can be
The hope to do it all
Oh say can you see
they want us to fall
So stop crying Broken Cities
Stop crying Broken Dreams
Stop crying Broken Promises
You know what this means
It means take a stand
Fight for what you believe
Or one day you will wake up
With No Freedom
That’s Reality
