Truckers

There is something about eighteen wheelers,
For most of us can only wonder.
A trucker is respected to the up most,
From the east to west coast.
Oh demand to get to their destination,
Wist no hesation.
Only the strong will go the long haul,
They have no time to stall.
The endurance they have to keep on going,
In order to maintain what their hauling.
Keeping the peddle to the metal,
Across plains, bypasses, and meadows.
The sparkle you can see in their eyes,
Trucking is what they enjoy in their lives.
Meeting new people on the road,
While hauling that heavy load.
Oh what stories they have to tell,
And do it so very well.
For what I say, is what I have seen,
Becuase my husband is one of these.
A wife who knows the truth in their heart,
Someone that's been there from the start.
Never to tell how alone and scared I maybe,
Trucking is what they love and desire that's plain to see.
So for all those truckers out there,
Stay alert and aware.
Theres someone special waiting at home,
Calmly waiting by the phone.
Families who love and cares for all of you,
And ask the Lord to be with you too.

The Time Has Come

Oh dear sweet children of mine,
Your my soul and blood line.
I fear the time is so near,
Please don't shed a tear.
Time to go to a better place
With such better taste.
We shared so many sad and happy times here,
Please don't worry or fear.
Your memories will last,
As you venture in new tasks.
I just have nothing left,
My spirit was taken by a theft.
I have no more strength my dear daughter and son,
For he has won.
Please understand I did the best I could,
I taught you all the vales as I knew I would.
It's time to move to a new place,
And doing it with such grace.
As I watch you grow into the people you are today,
I wonderful woman I hope you will stay.
My dear sweet boy as you become a man,
Just so handsome right where you stand.
Remember all the good times we shared together,
Don't let any one put your good name to the windy weather.
As we leave this place in time to come,
My love for you will never be stunted.
My love for both of you is so very strong,
It sings in your hearts like a song.
Please forgive me for giving in,
For he has beaten be within.
I am the only one here to blame,
I am just to tired to play his game.
The on person I speak of,
Is the father that forgot to Love.

That Special Person

There there someone special that you love,
Now it's time to share how the person was.
How this person can light up a room,
Even in the darest gloom.
How loving and warm this person can be,
There kindness thats so free.
How this person always knew when you needed a shoulder to cry on,
And their voice so gently calming.
How this person is always there when you needed help,
How they knew how you felt.
Everyone needs a person like this in their life,
Even if it's a sister, brother, or wife.
For me it was my mother,
There never will be any other.
Now she in Heaven where she wants to be,
I am so glad she is looking after me.

Our Journey

Thinking of you as we journey through a truckers life,
A wonderful person you are as a truckers wifes.
The stress and pressure you must take on,
And yet keeping a family bond.
It's not easy as you well know,
I am here to say your not alone.
Your in my heart and mind all the time,
And I know you will be just fine.
Hear my heart sing your praise,
Each and every day.
United we stand,
In this great land.
We are here for one another,
No one can take us under.
Just remember I am here for all of you,
And together we will make it through.
