For a Moment

In that moment
Every little thing
froze.
Only your movement
was apparent
Nothing made sense,
But just for a
moment.

What then is
natural,
If what i feel is
not.
I would like you to
understand that,
Only even for a
moment.

I do not want then,
no,
You to stay long,
Here with me
Only for a moment,
Just for the moment

Exposed

She was only a girl searching for freedom,
Sophistication was not on her mind.
Bound and strapped down by her own life,
She desired freedom,
Freedom from knowledge.
She wanted her innocence back,
She did not want to know anymore.
She wished she could be naive again,
To giggle at every flatter,
But know she knew better,
Too better.

Do I Still Stand

Every step of every path i take,
I know you are nigh.
Every word of every song i sing,
I know you hear.
Every twist in every thought i take,
I know you see.
But though i know you are only a prayer away,
Sometimes i cry.
Sometimes i want to go back to where you took me from.
At times its just too much for just one young girl to handle.
At times the faith is little and my doubts fail me.
But the question i never cease to ask,
Through it all,
Do i still stand?

My Pillar

Any other girl would
say,
Behind every
successful man,
Ceaselessly stands a
beautiful lady,
Does that apply in
our case?
Every step i take
Fearlessly my hand
you hold
Guarding my heart,
Holding my dreams,
It is only fair to
say
Just as it should
be,
Keep it this way,
Lest i fall,
My love,my pillar
