The quest for love begins from the moment we are born
The unwavering love of parents is initially all we need
Sweet smiles, furtive glances those innocent teenage crushes
A deeper craving suddenly overwhelms
The search for true love in earnest begins
It fills our every moment until we find the one
We soar to great heights in this ultimate love
But time & circumstances can change everything
Some hold onto that great love till the day that they die
Others just take for granted the love bestowed on them
Whichever way we look at it we have to realize that LOVE in its many guises has certainly conquered all

Does it Exist
The journey begins with promises
Hope sang sweet with a silver tongue
Smiles & laughter knew no bounds
Flying high on invisible wings
Life was bright like a shining sun
Tiny cracks appeared too soon
Always alone not knowing why
You choose to ignore & carry on
Toiling alone up stony roads
You’ve seen it all & so much more
Blood & guts spilled at your door
Guns & Gangs like High Chapparal
The Underworld, they’re a crazy lot
Years of torture, abuse & neglect
The problems just worsen year by year
You drown yourself in work & home
There’s no more you just an empty shell
The deeper agony pulsating inside
Lies dormant in a shallow grave
Happiness forever after…. does it Exist?

The chains that bind
Just make you blind
It keeps you disinclined
And in a constant grind
Break free, these chains that keep you intertwined
Close your eyes....relax and unwind
Circumstances are not definite
Your potential is infinite
Let your light show you the way
To overcome the hurdles of another day
Through pain, misery, sadness and sorrow
You WILL forge ahead to another tomorrow
Yes you are able to live your dreams
Just ignore the painful tormented screams
Of those dark moments that plague the past
Make your dreams and goals steadfast
No mountain is too high, no cut is too deep
Do not allow anything or anyone to make you weep
Fate is something we cannot predict
So don't imprison yourself like a convict
Will you allow barriers and emotions to withhold?
Ultimately you are the only one that can break the mould
So break free from these chains that so tightly bind
Believe in yourself and your own mind.
