Nicholas Bernard Poem
The Ideal of love is to love, love
isn't found in a person's fashion
sense and it isn't represented
by the amount in someone's
pockets nor is it bounded by
our shade of skin. Love see's
perfection when your eyes only
see's imperfections. The
hindrance that I've come to find
from this generation, Is some
of us are misguided by one's
outward appearance or we
often vaule a person for their
status. Rather than search
someone's soul by using our
hearts. I'm a firm believer in
universal law which teaches: "It
is In giving love, that we
receive love" a true sentiment
that some of us overlook,
because in relationships we
tend to fall short from
expectation and standards that
we want from each other. I
always thought how can we
want to find love, but yet want
too put a face to it. Theirs no
refund when it comes to loving
a person, so don't waste your
investment if your not willing
the spend. I know we're all
scared of the risk and the
uncertainty in putting our trust
and time in something we think
that doesn't look promising, but
it's that same fear we have
built up that has us eluding
love, at some point we all need
to understand we can't expect
it to all be perfect. Even the
flawless of any diamond is
mined from the darkest coal.
So how can we expect to shine
as an union if we're not willing
to struggle with the
imperfections in one another.

Nicholas Bernard Poem
Sade sings the opening intro to my love life "wars of the heart" it's so hard for these feelings to coexist inside this portrait of pain is painted with sadden colors of "purple rain" but when "dove's cry "it's a hell of a down pour so I hide my tears under the same "umbrella" as Rihanna but Ann Pebbles explains it better but tryin to forecast this emotional weather leaves my souls empty without her it withers "Ain't no sunshine" when she's gone while in my eyes these clouds of precipitation trying so hard not to form.

Nicholas Bernard Poem
I write this willfully hoping we
brothers that are lost can all
find yourselves, it is said that
“The value of a man resides in
what he gives and not in what
he is capable of receiving.” We
as black men have forgotten
how to give, it was a point in
time that we were seen as
protectors and providers, and
considered the structured
foundation for our family's .
What happened to so many of
us? that made us fall from
grace, and lost hope and
discarded our faith. We've let
this world misguide our
direction and changed our
steps, chained our minds to
these materialistic idols that
only dull our souls. Portrait of a
black man lets paint divinity in
the way we use to shine, and
once again be a meaningful
sunrise to a generation that
turned off their lights. It's
imperative that we find
common ground with our
women, because with faults in
our own foundation we will
never be able to build happy
homes. Our own selfish acts
and desires are the reason they
made a "Plan B", to control the
conception of birth when our
"Plan A" should be to add value
to a women's worth, and raise
sons to become kings and
daughters to become queens. I
write this not to preach or to
teach you, but only give
enlighten thoughts for I once
too sat in the dark, but know I
understand why Prometheus
took fire from the gods. Portrait
of black man there's still truth
in religion but there's none in
your true religions, you can't
buy those type of genes. Our
brand names should be our
legacy.

Nicholas Bernard Poem
Let us change ourselves for
today so we can proceed to be
greater for tomorrow. Live this
life not for only you but a
generation that needs more
leaders and creators. For the
mind is a dormant place that
needs to be awakened to see
it's full capabilities. For who are
we to hold ourseleves back and
who are they to deny us the
right to achieve, For we are
made in his image and he has
given onto us an understanding
and the mindset to seek
knowledge, and from this
wisdom is built to strengthen
our foundation. So rise up kings
and queens. For it is a fine
thing to place your castles In
the sky, but without seeds from
the soil how can one really
know what it is like to truly fly.
So be afraid not to think
different take control of your
destiny be creative through
your visions.
