Two Scavengers In a Truck and Two Beautiful People In a Mercedes

Two Scavengers in a Truck,
Two Beautiful People in a Mercedes

At the stoplight waiting for the light
nine a.m. downtown San Francisco
a bright yellow garbage truck
with two garbage men in red plastic blazers
standing on the back stop
one on each side hanging on
and looking down into
an elegant open Mercedes
with an elegant couple in it

The man
in a hip three-piece linen suit
with shoulder-length blond hair & sunglasses
The young blond woman so casually coiffed
with a short skirt and colored stockings
on the way to his architect's office

And the two scavengers up since four a.m.
grungy from their route
on the way home
the older of the two with grey iron hair
and hunched back
looking down like some
gargoyle Quasimodo
And the younger of the two
also with sunglasses & long hair
about the same age as the Mercedes driver

And both scavengers gazing down
as from a great distance
at the cool couple
as if they were watching some odorless TV ad
in which everything is always possible

And the very red light for an instant
holding all four close together
as if anything at all were possible
between them
across that small gulf
in the high seas
of this democracy

Words From the Heart

Words From The Heart

When I fell in love my heart was on fire
To be with you was my one desire
And if you love me I’ll give you everything you need
A lifetime of promises and a world full of dreams
For only my heart knows what it means
And I promise you it won’t be wrong
One love, two hearts we will make it strong,
But now my love is lost in your sweet kiss
Honey when I’m alone you’re the one I miss
And your sweet, tender love it hard to resist
Darling it's true my heart has fallen in love with you
Looking upon the stars tonight wishing with all my might
Hoping someday you will realize this passion I hold inside
Honey it doesn’t cost a dime.
And if you give in your love could be mine
I feel truly blessed for this feeling the Lord has given me
Accompany by faith and much understanding
And I know this gift will guide me for all eternity
As my heart fly by with angel wings
And the clouds form into wedding rings
A woman in love the angels sing
On and on a soft melody
That’s how it feels to be in love like me.
For thoughts from the heart are never ending

Missing Mama

Missing Mama

I awake each morning to start a new day
But the pain of loosing you never goes away.
I go about the things I have to do
And as the hours pass I think again of you.
I want to call you and just hear your voice
Then I remember that I have no choice
For you are not there and now my heart cries
Just to see you again to tell you goodbye
To say Mama I love you and I always will
And hope that much of you, in me you've instilled.
The day that you left I just didn't know
That you were going where I couldn't go.
And now all my memories of you are so dear
But gosh, how I miss you and wish you were here.
Who now can hear me when I need to cry?
It so hard to tell you "Mama goodbye."
Someday I know all will be well
And I'll see you again with stories to tell
Of how you were missed and how we have grown
And how good it is to finally be home.
Until then my memories of you I'll keep near
And I'll pass them on to those who are dear.
I miss you Mama,

The Just For the Unjust

The Just for the Unjust

BIBLE MEDITATION:
"For Christ also died for sins once for all, the Just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God ..." 1 Peter 3:18

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
A Roman soldier walked down a narrow corridor in a Roman prison. He held the torch up, and back in the shadows was a man. The guard with his key opened the door and said, "Barabbas, get up and come with me." Barabbas began to plead, "No, wait, don't take me! Have mercy!" The Roman soldier said, "You're not going to die; there's somebody else who's going to die in your place. Come here. Look over on that hill. That's the cross we made for you. But there's someone else on it. He has taken your place."

In what happened to Barabbas, God arranged a perfect picture of substitution -- the just dying for the unjust that He might bring us to Himself.

ACTION POINT:
Take time today to tell the Lord Jesus Christ how much you love Him and how grateful you are that He stepped out of glory and became obedient unto death--even the death of the Cross--for your sake and mine.

Magical Sunset

Magical Sunset

As the day ends to rest
The sunset does its best
Setting on fire the lively waves
Colouring orange the nature he saves
its pure ancient glorious perfection.

The great ocean will receive
The burning sun who's going to leave.
Slowly comes the night
Devouring that magic light:
we are still suspended in a great delight.

Lost and Insecure

Lost and Insecure

This time around,
I was again left with heartbroken and tears,
I gotta be tough
I gotta be strong
I hope it will soon be over

Lost and insecure
I thought for day and night
if I should give us another chance
Why can't I just walk away
when I knew you were just lying to me
what were you doing with her on the bed
when I am missing you here
what were you doing with her on the bed
when I am planning for a surprise for you

I am not the most intelligent person
nor I am the prettiest lad you ever know
but this while
you know I been treating you with all my heart
love you with all my heart
and how did you have the heart to fool me around?

Baby,
it's saddening enough
and I'd almost giving up myself yesterday night
I cried in my sleep
The moment I close my eyes,
All the memories of you and I
came flaunting back
the days I call you babbyy....!
and those days you tried to make me smile and laugh
because you said,
I look best when I smile
and my laughers that brightens you everyday

I was hurt this time around
but I have never regret of knowing you
and I did try everything I can to make your heart stay
all I ask for
is you being honest to me..
If a love wihtout honest and trust,
what is love all about then?
Loving has blur my visions..
I no longer have the guts to go on..

Tell me baby,
if we worth for another chance,
for all the memories we been trying to hold on
and is it worth trying again
for the painstaking tears we shed
I am left lost and insecure..

Love Always

Love Always

As she walked through the church, she passed all the people by, she doesn't say a word and keeps her head held up high.
She goes to the front where he lay, she holds his hand and then looks her mother's way. Her mother knew how much she loved him, everyone did. There love for one another was not something they hid.
She lays her head upon his chest and takes his hand against her breast and whispers to God her own silent prayer to tell him how much she cared.
People tell her not to cry, and that everything would be OK. but she can't seem to forget that today was supposed to have been her wedding day.
