As the Sun Emerges

As the sun emerges
Into the sky
I watch in awe
As this world floats by
Wishing to be able
To drift past the eyes
Of the people like me
Looking into the skies

I'M Sorry Jack

The sound of confusion
In my ears
The obvious conclusion
In my tears
I leave you now
And forever more
I hate myself
For closing the door
The inevitable ending
Turns the bend
Goodbye my love, my best friend

A Kiss of Sunshine

The trees flicker past her eyes through the tinted windows of the bus.
She leans back her head and lets it rest on the seat.
The obtrusive sounds of fellow school students are enough to make her mad,
But the sunshine softly kisses her cheeks, making her glow,
Comforting her and taking her deeper into thought.

Colourful

Don’t let yourself start thinking
That darkness is all you are
You feel trapped without with colour
You don’t want to feel these scars
Open up the windows
Let in the light
Free yourself from darkness
Brighten up the night

In this world of colour
There’s always a hidden darkness
Black and white and grey
Take their chance to come and play
But in this world with darkness
The colour will shine through
It will bring out the colourful in you
Yes it will bring out the colourful in you

Don’t let yourself start thinking
You aren’t worthy of the light
You listen too much to others
Who speak purely out of spite
Don’t trap yourself in the dark
You will only get cold
Its time to stop hearing
All that you’ve been told

In this world of colour
There’s always a hidden darkness
Black and white and grey
Take their chance to come and play
But in this world with darkness
The colour will shine through
It will bring out the colourful in you
Yes it will bring out the colourful in you

Beautiful Soul

I feel you have a beautiful soul
All I want is to fill the holes
I see you have a broken heart
I see where it has fallen apart
But standing here, watching you
I can feel it, I know you can too.

No Other Fish

They say time goes fast
That’s what I wish
But I don’t want to
Look for another fish
The one I had caught
Was perfect for me
I don’t care about the other
Fish in the sea

Perfect Things

Remarkable things
Like the words that pain brings
Or the song your heart sings
When you believe
In perfect things

Synthetic Lies

In the sea
Of your mind
There is something
You’re trying to hide
I see it vaguely
In your eyes
I see it through
Your synthetic lies

Lost To the Wind

She’s lost to the wind
Long lost
Her dreams devour
Her every thought
Holding her captive
In a fairy-tale
That to her seems so real
Let her go
She’s lost to the wind
Long, long lost

Power

Now I am here
I want you to see
That I have the power
To set your soul free
So take my hand
And give me your heart
I will keep it with mine
And we will never be apart
