Years ago things were so bleak
A broken heart makes a person weak
For a very long while things were grim and sad
Unfortunately not realizing just what we had
Being torn apart, dreams forever shattered
At this point there was only one quest that mattered
to young and confused to weigh the losses
Still years later, the future it crosses
How complex the mind, now this I know
Time is not a factor -
Somethings we just have no control
Hey, take a long listen to the skies rolling thunder
You may find too - that you cant help but wonder
Events drastic in life, so you take a wrong turn
Realizing later there's a lesson to learn
Finding you need comfort from a friend
Thus what once was - has come to an end
What was lost to me - was a damn crying shame
Life goes on, never to be the same
Letting go, being happy, yet missing you so
Trying to understand, but time will show
Now i am ready to lay the past to rest
Cherish happiness and wish for the best

Grand daughter
Such a sweetheart
Young and smart
Only 7 years old
Unique in every way
Never underestimate your Smile
Sure to let your heart be true
Hand in hand , we do stand
In your life, I do what I can
No nonsense girl, you stole my heart
Every day you be safe, this I pray
A Kiss of Sunshine in my life

Being with you
Being with you, I find all my fears subside
For honestly, my feelings I can no longer hide
Being with you takes away most all of my sorrows
Only making room for better, brighter tomorrows
Being with you, I still find it a little hard to believe
The pure contentment inside, not wanting to leave
Being with you makes me so happy, I can assure you this
By the way we trust in each other , communicate and kiss
Being with you is like a dream come true
An act of love, a god send from above
Being with you totally wipes out all my past blues
Finding a need to share my life with someone special
‘It is you that I choose “
Our timing was by chance, now it is clear to see
Being with you is where I want to be
To make it short “I love you, dear “
I believe we make a perfect pair.

If I could make one wish
My wish - I would make for you
Wish one wish , hope in my heart
That from this earth you did not part
I would wish that you didn't go
I will forever remember you so
Accept my kiss upon your cheek
Truth in my heart is yours to keep
Good times and bad, we made amends
Through the years , we became friends
O your daughter misses you so
You broke her heart when you left, you know
