Hectic days
Blinding headache
My mind strays
Unwanted soul
Trapped alone
Emptiness inside
Never shown
Happiness replaced
Sadness enters
Hopelessness lives

We always ask the same question, why
It doesn’t get any easier to say goodbye
To see you again, our souls we try to redeem
Every night we keep you in our prayers and dreams
We long to hold, love and tell you just once more
All we didn’t get a chance to say or do before
Saying how we feel is sometimes tough
Now in our hearts we feel it wasn’t enough
We saw you again, you were beautifully dressed
You looked so peaceful in your Sunday’s best
We call on you now with troubled hearts for you to assist
Hoping in heaven you know how truly you’re loved and missed
Throughout each day in and out of our thoughts you drift
Remembering your friendship and love were such a great gift
Your love was the most precious gift you could possibly give
You touched so many lives, in our hearts your memory will always live
We’ll miss the twinkling sparkle in your beautiful eyes
And pray for you each night as we await the morning sunrise
We hope you know how much to so many you meant
We thank you for each kind word and hand you freely lent
Our torn hearts we continue to try and mend
With every tear of love we cry, to you we send
Your smile could light up any room
Your words could cast away anyone’s gloom
As we try to stop all these tears that fall
Help us to know your still here with us all
We hope you know how very much we love you
Your memories will lift us up whenever we’re blue
We hope you can be proud of us in whatever we do
While you wait for us please know we love and miss you!
