Far Beneath the Bitter Snow

Hidden deep and frozen solid,
A whisper hidden away from all.
A thought, a feeling far below
Far beneath the bitter snow.

The white seems so clean and pure,
Hiding secrets deep within,
Growing deep and deeper below,
Far beneath the winter snow.

Waiting for its time to rise,
A season away from its time,
A blossom growing far below,
Far beneath the winter snow.

Not all blooms make it to spring,
Not all plants live through the cold,
But hope keeps it growing deep below,
Far beneath the winter snow.

Lost Lost, Love Found

One girl, whose dreams and life were lost,
One girl, whose dreams and love were found,
Though her freedom was not hers.
One man, who both did love.

One whose love was untrue,
Died heartbroken and blue,
Did luckily find a new love,
But whose heart was not hers.

The other forced to wed the man,
Found out he was just for her,
He loved her and she loved him,
But complications, they did arise.

The man you see,
Met both and loved,
The corpse and the girl,
For both were unique.

To choose between
 The Dead or the alive,
Only one could be his bride,
Which one love was true?

Finally the hearts did lead them true,
The man and his bride both alive,
To be wed and married,
Forever in love.

The other whose love was lost,
Has learned a lesson of love and trust
Thought her life was stolen away,
She wouldn’t steal true love today.

The Light From the Dark

There is a line
Running across my world,
A line that divides
The Light from The Dark

Two sides to every story,
Two sides to everyone
Two sides in my mind
The Light from The Dark

The things I fear,
The things know one knows,
The things I regret,
The Light from The Dark

The reasons I smile,
My dreams and my hopes
Family and friends of mine
The Light from The Dark

If that line should disappear,
There would be a war, I fear.
Then there would no longer be,
The Light from The Dark.

Far Away

Why do some dreams stay?
While others fade,
Far far away?

Far from view,
What I dreamed
To be and to do

I wanted to be brave,
To be strong,
Not needing to be saved.

I didn’t want to be,
Hopeless and weak,
Never depend on a “he”

No “Cinderella” story here,
Except maybe I am,
Dependent on him, I fear.

Why do I need a knight
To fight for me all day,
And all my life?

Why do some dreams stay?
While others fade,
Far, far away.

I Need You

If I screw up,
Will you stand by me?
If I mess up,
Will you comfort me?

If I get lost,
Will you find me?
If I get scared,
Will you hide with me?

Because all through my life,
These things I’ll always do,
I sometimes screw up,
And wish to undo

I need someone beside me,
For when I feel shame,
I need you to hold me,
Before I am gone.

Writing a Poem

So many emotions,
In my head.
Guilt and longing,
And even dread.

How to pick just one,
I’ve not quite caught,
Because all the emotions,
Are quite a lot.

I could write about love,
Or maybe even hope,
For in my mind,
I’m familiar with both.

But, even I could
 Write about fear,
Or my loneliness,
When no ones near.

But, I cannot pick,
 And choose just one,
But, I really don’t have to,
Because my poem is done.

Plans

A puzzle has every piece,
That fits together all nice and neat,
Perfectly planned and designed,
Fitting together fit like that.

Every person has their match,
The one true love of life,
The one they know is perfect for them,
The one they’ve dreamed about.

Every season has its change,
The falling of the snow,
The browning of the leaves,
Each season comes and goes perfectly.

Life comes along and throws it off,
Life isn’t perfect and true to design,
Life is random and often profound,
Life changes everything you know.

A puzzle has its pieces,
A person has their love,
A season has its changes,
And life has its bumps.
