C Sparks Poem
Do not tell me, please
how to cut the celery
I do things myself

C Sparks Poem
I sat in class, way in back
looking at all the
colors, I thought to myself
in comparison how pale
I seem compared to
my peers, they said 'oh hey you!
so pale and fragile'
Had they known how strong I was,
whiteness excluded

C Sparks Poem
I watched the blood dribble
down past my pale knee
it was pretty, from what I could see
But as I learned of my deserving of better things
The world that laid before me said
'Hello, I am here to please you'
In return, I said, 'I am here to please me, too'
It's final words to me:
'You knew that all along'
