No More

Poisons you will no longer have a grip on me.
I am free from your toxins that used to ail me.
I have discovered that life is more than a party.
I have found the things I need to pursue the happiness within me.
You will not win this time.
I won't give in.
I won't give in.
You will never win again!
Get out of my face with that mess, I digress!
This is not me calling it sober and xing up my skin.
Just a realization that the life of constant mind alteration is nothing but the weak part of you trying to take hold and never let go.

Thoughts In the Chair

I lay on my back and look at the ceiling.
As I lie I think of something calm and mellow to pull me through.
This next appointment I have with tattoos.
They told me your body is a temple, never taint it.
It's quite the riot considering they never told me I couldn't paint it.
So, another session again here we go as the buzzing begins to show.
I hear the buzz slowly fade into the ink with haste.
I feel the jag of the needle into the my skin deep and slow, a joy someone without tattoos of which will never know.
There is a passion that burns deep not only for the artist but the creative mind that is in the seat.

Win

Take all you can get your hands on.
Destroy all the wakes in your warpath.
Hold your fists high in the air.
Know that your victory will soon be there.
& you will know what it feels like to be alive again!

Mother Dearest

This for the my mother, the woman that went through all the agony and pain pushing me out of her womb.
Days without this woman are usually filled with gloom.
Even though sometimes we fight and bicker, just know the memories since day one will always linger.
I love you isn't words that you can just say to this wondrous person you have to feel it like a burning flame.
Not to mention you should express that love each and every day.

Fight

Close your eyes, use your imagination.
Dream of a day when a puppet doesn't run our nation.
This day will eventually come true, I do not see anyone dealing with this another time around.
Of these choices we make, we must learn.
That the lesser of the two evils is neither.
They are both clueless to evidence and are only human we understand.
But personally I'd rather run this nation of me.
And stop having to depend on people we elect for everything.

Strive

If you believe that will succeed in life you won't.
Believing isn't nearly enough.
In order to be successful you must strive and fight for what you want.
Yearn and never surrender to anything or anyone.
Your passion must burn on.

Flow

Creative writing is such a nice escape.
From the world we must take.
Seeing the words flow together, makes the day seem better.
Regardless of how life are going I turn to writing instead of choking.
Thinking of all the past ways to cope.
Laughing them off because those methods are such jokes.
Drinking and drugs to deal with problems is never a way to solve them.
Attempt to write something sometime regardless of skills is just what's needed.
See if writing does to you what it now does for me.
To be able to feel free again and think clearly.

If Only

If the violence from the waves wouldn't allow our ships to sink.
Then, would our minds be clear to think?
Would our hearts learn to love and trust again?
Could we find the calm beneath the crush?
And piece together what we once lost
