Susan O'reilly Poem
Just a brush of your hand
sends my pulse racing
a blush on my cheek
imagining where it could be tracing
Torture being so close
and not being able to kiss you
feelings of remorse
inviting a visitor or two
Wanting you so much
unable to hold you in my arms
avoiding the slightest touch
because I can't resist your charms
Bound to you, body, heart and soul
never knew such passion
my desire I'm trying to control
as the potatoes I'm mashing
Dinner is finally served
I'm going to be dessert
acting all shy and reserved
hard, when you want to flirt

Susan O'reilly Poem
I hear you calling me
whispering softly
blowing my hair gently
a featherlike touch on my face
I hear you calling me
in my dreams
silencing my screams
shushing my troubles away
I hear you calling me
in tranquil times
smiling benovently
revelling in my good moments
I hear you calling me
always
I hope I hear you
always
I miss you
always
I love you Grandad
always

Susan O'reilly Poem
Rambling rants of a disturbed mind
genius in his day, one of a kind
fighting against some archenemy
flailing and arguing continuously
family visit heartbroken
in their eyes, no need to be spoken
on a good day he just ignores
their presence, one of his chores
on a bad day swearing and cursing
a painted smile they've been rehearsing
the man they knew is long gone
but in their soul, his memory shone
they keep hoping for a breakthrough
a precious glimpse of the person they knew
