Erik De Neef Poem
Why are you still overshadowed by a doubt
If only you could see the love that carries me
I would walk on water, just to be with you
walk on water, just to be with you
split the ocean, cross the sea
walk on water, if you believe

Erik De Neef Poem
If i could only be a butterfly
I would stay up all night
I would haunt your house
And in your bed
While you're asleep
I'd whisper in your ear
I love you
If i could only be a butterfly
I'd never reach the ground
I could see the fireflies
And in your bed
While you're asleep
I'd whisper in your ear
I wanna take you once
I'll take you twice
have only come to see you shine
I want to undress your mind
There's room for us both to fly
Just let me undress your mind
If I could only be a butterfly
I would love all night
I'd colour your skies
And in your bed
While you're asleep
I'd whisper in your ear
You've left a bunch of stars
In my hand

If you love something ...... set it free.

If it doesnt ...... it never was.

Erik De Neef Poem
Everything is forever over
Whenever you are ready
I’ve been on your side
My God, I've liked knowing you
Now I'll stay here, you go there
And there is not so far from here
We agree, I do not know where
and there, we will meet
Without you, the clock is ticking as quickly
But times do change
So I say goodbye, you must go now
Know that in my heart you will always live on
Sleep tight, you've earned it
You fought till your last breath
And go, go now my friend
And dream forever relieved
Just like before you'll make your way
I know you will find a home real soon
And I repeat what you've told me once
In my heart, I remain faithful to you
Without you, the clock is ticking quickly
But times do change
So I say goodbye, you must now go
Know that in my heart you will always live on

Erik De Neef Poem
What is bigger
then the moon that shines
What is bigger
then the sea so wide and blue
What is bigger
then the mountains and the vally's
Thats my heart
and its only for you

Erik De Neef Poem
What is a friend? I will tell you.
It is a person with whom you dare to be yourself.
Your soul can be naked with him.
He seems to ask from you to put on nothing, only to be what you are. He does not want you to be better or worse.
When you are with him, you feel like as a prisoner feels who as been declared innocent.
You do not have to be on your guard.
You can say what you think, so long as it is genuinely you.
He untherstands those contradictions in your nature that lead others to misjudge you.
Whit him you breath freely.
You can avow your little vanties and envies and hates and vicious sparks, your meannesses and absurdities and, in opening them up to him, they are lost dissolved on the white ocean of his loyalty.
He untherstands. You do not have to be careful.
You can abuse him, neglect him, tolerate him. Best of all, you can keep still with him. It makes no matter. He likes you. He is like fire that purges to the bone.
He untherstands. He untherstands.
You can weep with him, sin with him, laugh with him, pray with him.
Through it all - and untherneath - he sees, knows and loves you.
A friend? What is a friend?
Yust one, I repeat, with whom you dare to be yourself.

Erik De Neef Poem
I'm thinking of what you're feeling
I'm thinking aout the way you laugh
I'm thinking about all the love you've given me
And what you're expecting
About what you think of me
And how you're living for me
I avoid your eyes
When they're wanting to see you through me
Each time they look at me
Do I make sure that I miss them
When you're standing in front of me
Do I flee in your arms every time again
So tat I won't give away what the truth is
Every day you tell me,
How much you love me,
How nice you live with certainty,
How you trust me.
How do you tell someone,
That the earth isn't round anymore,
That the birds don'f fly anymore,
And the sun no longer shines.
How do I tell you,
That the life you lived,
And the love you felt,
Will disappear soon.
You're losing me.
It is the truth

Erik De Neef Poem
Quarter past seven, Sunday morning
I hear a voice that gently asks me:
Are you already awake, Dad?
Are you cozy coming down with me?
Do you have to go to work, or are you free today?
And are you going out with me?
Oh, time goes by so fast!
Yesterday I saw her for the first time, she was laying in my arms.
She is beautiful and time becomes her.
I blink my eyes and see how she’ s changed, again and again.
But how big she may be,
In my eyes she’ll always remain small.
Quarter past seven, Sunday morning
I hear the front door open, very gently,
And I fall asleep, she is home.
I wanted to pick her up, but she asked not to be there
She finds her way home by now
And sometimes, when I close my eyes
We walk together on the beach
Her little hand in mine
And then, she stops time for a while
And it is a moment again like before
And she needs me again.
I hold her
As she was
I hold her.
Quarter past seven, Sunday morning
She hears my voice that softly wakens her
Today is your big day
She is beautiful and time becomes her
I blink my eyes and see that her heart is forever for someone else
But where ever she may be
In my mind she is with me
In my eyes she remains small
