My Protector

Polarbear was always like a cudly bear.
He was always there in the mists of the air.
Always ready to protect.
If only God had kept.
Ready and alert.
Always making family first.
Loving and Caring.
Always daring.
My protector he was.
Until one day cancer got to him.
That's when he knew he could not win.
Now with God.
Always looking over me.
Only wishing I could see.
Waiting for the chance to be reunited.
My protector he was.

Unstoppable Now

As I look at the crowd,
I hear no sound,
Blood running threw my viens,
I feel no pain,
Running past the stands,
Feeling like a man,
Breaking every tackle,
With a big ol' cackle,
Tears of joy,
Feeling like a boy,
Unstoppable now,
Hitting everyone with a POW,
Now on the ground,
I hear no sound,
Looking at the crowd in awe,
Only noticing I had no flaws,
I gave it my best,
Only you can guess,
I won the game,
Never felt the same!

Violence Has Taken Over

Everywhere we turn in this world is about violence and gangs,
Everyone thinking they are cool because they can hang,
Until one day someone gets shot,
And no one gets caught,
Police don’t give a care,
Every night I have to say a prayer,
Begging God to let me live through the day,
Jumping out of harms way,
Living in the hood,
Seems all good,
But people don’t understand what goes on,
People hoping to wake up to the first light of dawn,
But only to go back to the streets,
Only to show off their heat,
No one seeking peace up in here,
You have kids drinking beer,
People doing drugs,
Acting cool, because they think they’re a thug,
This may seem like a bother,
But I’m always going to my father,
Seeking Gods way,
Just so I can hopefully stay,
Trying so hard to stay out of trouble,
Waking up to a neighborhood in rubble,
Noticing how gangs have taken over,
Picking up a lucky clover,
Wishing to keep my life for one day,
When I saw my friend laid to rest,
I made a vow to do the best,
When I saw my friend get shot in the head,
Wishing I would never drop dead,
Maybe some day the violence will end,
Only if we can stop the violent trends……….

Too Much To Drink

1 gulp, 2 gulp, 3 gulps, 4
That's when my buddy hit the floor,
He had too much to drink,
Never taking time to think,
Always in a rush,
Still thinking about his first crush,
Now on the floor,
He feels no more,
Heart stops pumping,
Mine starts jumping,
Frozen in fear,
Wishing I had never given him the beer.

Broken Forever

Your soft cold hands careesing my face,
Before you thought I was a disgrace,
My first love forever and ever,
The one that I would always endeavor,
Until you knocked to the floor,
I could not take no more,
You left me with a broken heart,
Only wishing we could restart,
Walking through the door,
Only seeing you no more,
I'm always wanting and wishing,
But I'm never getting,
You left me out in the cold ,
With no one to hold,
Stripped away from everything,
Leaving me with a sting,
I wanted to make you a queen,
If only you had seen.
