No Cure

Racing heart
 Sweaty hands
Sleepless nights
 Butter flies in the stomach
Aimless walks
 Wishing you were there
I wake only with your scent
 To keep me company
Memory of our hands dancing
 After love we made
Now you are gone
 No where to be found
Left behind
 Arms so empty
  Days so cold
Yet I see you where ever I go
 But only my imagination
No need for another
 No need for alcohol
For there is no cure for you

Voice With Out a Face

You were on my mind last night
So I sat myself down to write
Midnight talks
  Make believe walks
Like the rain
  Your voice soothes the pain
Touch my heart
  We're so far apart
I wait for the day we meet
  What a worldly treat
Dream all the while
  Just to see you smile
Reaching;A touch from me
You will run I do believe
Feelings I fear
  As our day draws near
I cant wait
  So dont be late
Thing seem so clear
  The reason I fear
So on the day we meet
  XOXOXO we greet

The day the voice has a face

Another Day

The sun is rising as I give thanks
Thank you Lord for another day of life
I know not what the day will bring
                     But
I am alive and that is a blessing
Mother and Father,Sisters and Brothers
Surround me with their love
Sights and Sounds,Dreams and Visions
Blue sky, birds in flight I see
The warmth of the sun, a gentle breeze I feel
Children and Granchildren in my arms I hold
Air I breathe,people I meet I am here
No plans for tomarrow for I am alive today
So enjoy my friends
                        for
We are given Another day

Leukemia

The smallest warrior
             Goes into battle for life
                He will win I know
             For he runs with wolves
Look at him but fear him not
Though he is a fierce warrior
Look at his fight and know
His heart beats his victory song
The one God will give him strength
                The smallest warrior
                Caemon is his name
                  Learn of his fight
                 For he is not alone
              His pack surrounds him
                     Energize him
Friends and family will dance to his victory
           They will learn about courage
                     Of Gods grace
Look upon him he is special
                         He is
                 The smallest warrior

The Vet

A forgotten time he lived
A place of love and smiles
A place of family and friends
Young and full of life
He was sent to a forgotten war
His life to be changed forever
Doing what was ask of him
The pain in his heart began
Battleing fear and what he was sent to do
He returned to a time of resentment and hate
He endured the nightmares and the unbelievers
Standing on the edge looking down
She took his hand and led him away
  Teaching him to smile again
Calming his heart with compassion and love
She taught him that life was possible
  Unchained his heart and entered
He live today because of her
You light up my life
  Their song

 Dedicated to John and Julie

Special

They are maidens of the wolf people
They are loved with no end
    Magical
With a smile
They take away the pain of the day
My heart is glad
Watching them play and hear their laughter
Music to my ears
The sound as they call to me
Their hugs are medicine to an aching body
I will never leave them
For I live in their hearts
Their magic keeps me alive to watch over them
Thank you Lord for these gifts

You

She is from the past
         But
Her eyes still shine bright in my mind
For she lives in my soul
Her magic is strong
          For she has endured
There is a reason
For her beauty was not skin deep
I was blinded by youth
          For her love was clear
Raven hair and stars in her eyes
          I will never forget
So I sit here and write
For she is on my mind
Forgive me and be my friend
For I am on my knees
Time is gone
           But
We are not

The Cure

Bitten by the snake
Venom; he will break
Desolate life the only thing in sight
            Alas
Looking into her eyes;He hears no lies
A gentle hand and open heart
They'll never be apart
Children arrive now they thrive
Smile so bright
Lights his darkest night
A new man there he stands
Standing here
Thank God Carrie was here
I see the cure

Thank you My Lord

Spirit Animal-Wolf

He is not of this world
Living between the dream and spirit world
Crossing both borders he does
You can feel his presence
He runs with spirits
Seeking you in dreams
Fear not his appearance
For he is just a visitor
In this world you will find him
In the shadows of the full moon night
Woooooo you will hear his cry
Answer and you may learn
The secrets of the world in which he lives
Open you heart and find
The kindness you never thought existed
For he knows what lies on both sides

My Place

I visit a place of my youth
  Once wild and untamed
A place of wild life
  Unbroken serenity
A trickling creek
  Feeds a life filled pond
Walking in beauty
Cottontail rabbit running to the sage
The air full of sound
The valley quail sings his song
Look into the sky
A redtail hawk on his hunt
A hiding place when life got hard
How hard is a childs life?
All is needed is an open ear
  Have you forgotten
Alas 40 years have past
  Not tamed but destroyed
The creek now silent
  My pond without life
Empty skies with only the wind
To remind us of what once was
