Sins of the World Washed Away

Sins Of The World Washed Away:

The mist shrouds and floats in the valleys,
gentle wind moving it slowly.
Overcast skies, day gloomy,
bringing forth small rain drops.
Refreshing the trees,
cleansing nature
all around.
Renew.
Green.

Fresh
the air.
Moist petals.
Snails now roam.
Droplets of water,
clinging from all the leaves.
Now a rainbow does appear.
Everything seems bright and new.
All the sins of the world washed away.

No Contact

No Contact

So abrupt she was
Without any notice, rhyme or reason
She ignored and ghosted me
All contact severed
All links dead.

A month
Now two, six have gone
A year has passed
Silence becomes my companion
I get on with life, my career and my hobbies.

I have given up
The silence at first deafening
Now I grow accustomed
I have given in
And have now started to delete
All memories and contact information

To my surprise
She reaches out today
And sends me a message
And wants to contact and get back together.

I remain silent, I do not reply
As I now have grown accustomed to no contact
Because you taught me, no contact is my best reply.

Growing Old Together

Growing Old Together:

Looking through the photographs,
of ten thousand memories ago;
it still seems like yesterday
even though today I am old.

I still remember the first
time we met, I froze
and stood so still!
So afraid that you would turn and go.

Then you smiled and said hello.
I was so very lost for
words and completely dazzled
by the sight of you.

The years have come and gone
since our first hello, yet every
single day will pass and I'm still
head over heels in love with you.

Wrinkles and scars they appear,
but that's not what I see.
I still see that lovely girl I
fell in love with so many years ago.

Gracefully we journey and
together we will grow old, I would
not want it any other way. Loving
you always even till the day I have to go.

Dewdrops

With each small spec of dew
that lays upon each leaf,
each morning; it brings such
freshness to the world.

Farewell My Friend

I remember the days that we
spent together in my pursuit to
further my knowledge, you as
my mentor and I as your pupil.

Down through the years we have
had more then just a teacher and
pupil relationship, we became the
very best of friends.

I watched your hair turn grey and then
you watched mine, sadly I received
news today coming from afar that you have
gone on your final journey and we
shall never have those long academic
discussions ever again.

Such news that greeted me gave me
such a heavy heart and tears in my
eyes, for I know I shall never see
my dear friend again.

I will forever cherish the fond memories
of the past years we had shared and
our friendship and reminisce on all the
good times for those will always be
with me.

You will always have a very special
place in my heart, my mentor and
my dear friend always.
A friend that shared my life.

Note: Farewell to Klaus Goebel, ING (Radio Engineer), Neu-Isenburg, Germany ~ may you rest in peace old friend.

The moon forever lonely, the sun she seldom sees.

Mountain of Angels

Towering Grandeur,
such formidable mountains
where the angels sing.

Three Score and Ten

Three score and ten:

The seconds turn into minutes, then to hours.
The hours spin into days, then weeks will fly by.
The weeks then quickly dissolve into many months.

The months that fleet and fly by into such short years.
All our average compliment is three score and ten.
Whatever-more is a bonus that God grants us.

We must make good use of the time that is given
Be very careful not to squander away time.
The seconds turn into minutes, then to hours.

Treasure the short time, always making your life full.
Once time passes, we cannot recall it again.
All our average compliment is three score and ten.

Never idle away the precious time you have.
Life is so full of unforeseen circumstances.
Once time passes, we cannot recall it again.

Each one of us will make mistakes along the way.
If you fall, get up quickly, try and try again.
The seconds turn into minutes, then to hours.

The long road, actually is not so long at all.
Before you know it, you will have come to the end.
Life is so full of unforeseen circumstances.

The dreams of yesterday, all but a memory.
Time has gone by like the sands in an hour glass.
The weeks they quickly dissolve into many months.

Live and love and cherish it closely to your heart.
For love will surely live on, even though you're gone.
Before you know it, you will have come to the end.

Accomplish as much as you can, never look back.
Time is unforgiving and takes no prisoners.
The seconds turn into minutes, then hours.
The weeks then quickly dissolve into many months.

Remember to enjoy life and use it up well.
The months that fleet and fly by into such short years.
For love will surely live on, even though you're gone
Whatever-more is a bonus that God gives us.

Savage raging storm,
can you wash away the sins

Bowing To the Wind

See the branches bow
down to the incessant wind,
the leaves join in dance.
