If I Wern'T Me.

If i wern't me, where would you be?
If I wern't me, would you care who I am?
If i wen't me....
I'd be the girl thats sitting in the corner, reading a book
I'd be the girl who's quiet and reserved
I'd be the girl who's 100% sure
If I wern't me...
I'd be the good student
I'd be the good athlete
I'd be the teachers pet
If I wern't me...
I'd be the smoker
I'd be the druggie
I'd be the skipper
If I wern't me...
I'd be....
someone else...
because I wouldn't be the person I enjoy
and that person is Me!

To Speak Those Words

Ill angered words spoken harshly
Icy glares that can freeze your soul
Things that you can never take back
Words that linger in the air
Hatred with sobbing cries of attention
Cries of attention
Pleas of help
Begging for mercy
For another life and another chance
A song of hope
A song of love
A song of a desperate soul
To say what you're feeling
But never getting what you mean out
Shouting the words of your heart
Yelling the words of your hatred
Whispering the words of your soul
What to really say? Who to say it to:
The closest friend,The worst enemy
The one you love, The one you loath
The one you pity, The one you envy?
Who do you utter the words,
That come from your very soul

Open Your Eyes

Open your eyes and look at me
See how I've changed
I'm not the same
Open your eyes and look at me
I'm not the same person
I'm not a little girl
Open your eyes and look at me
I've gotten taller
I've gotten bigger
Open your eyes and look at me
Stop being so blind
Stop hiding behind your eyelids
Open your eyes and look at me
See how I've hurt
See the tears trickling down my cheek
Open your eyes and look at me
See how I've lost
and how I've found
Open your eyes and look at me
because I'm not the same and
I want you to see me.
