Alex Mckenna Poem
Alexandra
Hardworking, Dancer, Writer, Loyal
Sister of Catie and Mollie, Daughter of Valerie and Damien
Lover of no one (for now)
Who feels that poetry is a savior, life isn't complete without friends, and love will find a way
Who fears isolation, failure, and not believing
Who would like to see their writing published, their designs manufactured, and their lives well
Resident of The Bronx, New York
McKenna

Alex Mckenna Poem
In a world with so much life and culture,
All you need is just a little something-something
It's better than a whole lot of something,
Because then it might be too much
Like love,
All you need is a sample
To realize
It isn't the only thing to make someone happy
And if they think it is,
All they need is just a little something-something
Tell them they're better off without
Another terrible heartache
That there is nothing more better than being
Free from the name, "So-and-so's girl"
All they need,
Is just a little something-something

Alex Mckenna Poem
Best
Friends now
Standing by me
What could I ever ask of them besides,
To be my diaries, and my saviors
From the trouble
happ'ning
now
For you Josephine and Reem :)

Alex Mckenna Poem
Just to let you know,
A very special day is approaching
IT IS MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!
Taking place on May 24th
The day I was born
And my mother and me adjoined
Cuddled and comforted
In each other's love
Tomorrow is the day
That I turn thirteen
Finally I will have entered,
My teens
From then on it will be consumed
By hormones and PMS and what-not that I will deal with
Somehow I look forward to aging even more
I grow more mature, but also more old
I think I'll be taken
Quite a bit more seriously
Not treated like a child,
How most people think we should be
So yes it will be my birthday,
In about two hours
I hope I get lots of comments
Wishing me a well one!!!!!

Alex Mckenna Poem
Welcome to my house on the beach,
Where there are condos for $5 each
I, for one, am an interesting figure,
With my siamese fish who likes to paint pictures
And my single daughter Rosie,
Who's immune to posie
This place is somewhere with two sides,
You live your life first, and after you die.
I died at thirty-eight
From tripping down stairs just after I ate
Welcome to my house on the beach,
Come on inside and we can enjoy a peach!

Alex Mckenna Poem
The canvas is blank; all blank
You could paint a picture of a plank
With a pirate on board,
That collects eggshells to hoard,
With some iron around his neck, going CLANK.

Alex Mckenna Poem
the beat rushes
rushes through
through my body
it has
power
strength
stability.
all mushed together
forms a catchy
melody,
maybe harmony.
it disguises the
true feeling
inside
sometimes,
and only sometimes,
that feeling
is fully exposed;
naked
you can understand
exactly
what
the
artist
is
feeling.

Alex Mckenna Poem
One day
A stranger came up to me
Speaking in riddles
He said:
Inspiration incites the inscence within that incarnates indigo indians.
I did not know what he ment until he followed up with:
"You can't wait for inspiration. You have to go after it with a club."
- Jack London
I then
realized
what he was
talking about.
Do you?
