The Evening Light

4-7-2012 The Evening Light
Pour the evening light all over me,set me free,
Free as the fresh ,clean breeze from far up above,
Speak to me in whispers,of the midnight pearl,
So brightly displays as a beacon of who you are,
Count with me,the days going by,share with me,
Tomorrow's today,is a guide to the evening light,
Brings the rain, filling the empty hearted,
Widens the eyes of the early bright,
Hide not, your smile from the shadow of your nose,
Step forward,be noticed for what you stand for,
Sway with the leaves that sleep, deep in the evening light,
We will be late to our own appointed wake,
Hang on to life as we know it,here in the evening light.

The Beauty of Innocence

The Beauty of Innocence
The Innocence of open eyes, not just pretend ,but unaware of any lies,
She opens the world around her as she surprises the obsesses of the prime,
Holding on to the world that she does not even know she owns, until she finds herself in flight,
Too soon she will be gone, the beauty of Innocence shows to all who know,
The last dance to a new song,a last word of perfect poem,
I saw here there, under full moon, her shadow illuminated brighter than a shallow pool
I felt her love ,silently I could not keep my eyes off her,
Just as the flowers I could not pick or the showers I did get wet,
Her memories- even so long ago,I can still see, when I close my eyes,at certain times.

The Setting Sun of Yesterday

Gone too far away, you can’t hear me call,
Beginnings to the end ,I stall,
I wish you were more than,
The setting sun of yesterday
Where do you hide on such a rainy day Monday,
I see now ,it wouldn’t be Heaven without you,
I patiently wait for you,
You who has recently gone,
Only a memory to spare,I wish I had known you more.

Recycling a Throw Away,Revised

5-16-2012 Recycling a Throw Away,Revised
Searching over a throw away, thinking lately about you,
Before I had nothing more than time to lose,
You are not gone ,though- in my heart, I'm often alone,
Remembering you down by the falls, even as a memory, you call,
Crying rhymes on the radio, getting up from a fall,
Bringing you back is more difficult than when I let you go,

Sad Song ,Better

7-8-2011 Sad Song better

Today I heard a sad song that reminded me of long ago,
Gazing for hours into a reflecting pool, I saw myself playing the fool,
My tears would fall as does the rain during a heavy storm,
My image was scattered and broken in the mirrored glass from a long time ago,
While trying to find a future in the past I noticed bright smiles, which turned to many for miles,

I was educated that I can find myself more in others,by just taking a chance ,
I found that I was not alone, I found where I could belong,
Now and again I go back to the reflecting pool,
Which I see myself, much clearer than before.

The Sweet Disposition

4-08-2012 The Sweet Disposition
Much higher than than clouds, where possessions are nothing but dead weight,
Where all can walk freely without losses of defeat, repeat, belief,
Open doors that have not been dreamed of before, portholes of the stars,
Please open this man cage,I must drink my thirst of there you are,
The stones at my feet turn to sand,to dust,to the hardened hearts,
No longer I wait,I chase my eyes to follow,my feet up to shallow,
Away from the minds that collect in the deep, where there they remain hidden,
My love is that of the rain that's falling, the trees that are reaching,
The ground that is needing, your heart to be feeding, dreaming, fleeing,
The sweet disposition of the bright light which finds us,
Is not of this world, the last ,or the next.

I Found and Lost You ,All In One Day

I Found You and Lost You ,All in One Day
You were standing in line at Wal-mart when I walked by,
I could see that you recognized me,because your face lit up,
I as well, felt a warm fuzz overcome me,I hurt as I walked by,
It was as though the same feeling as I've had in many long dreams,
I always walk up too soon,This time all feelings were true,
True as the ripples reflecting the sun light in the clear cool water,
Of the only wishing well within my lifetime ,Time is running short,
Long your gone, your eyes were as blue as the sky is high,
Somewhere out there your heart is mine to find,
Many smiles for many miles,if only yours could be found,
I could stop looking through out long dreams,
And stop watching the wishing well,
Splash bright my many lucky penny s,without you.
I was standing in line, somewhere like before, when I though I saw you walk by,
I was blinded by the sight ,it made my loneliest of days, see the light,
I may not have even seen you ,happy thoughts bring me change,
I no longer am penniless at the wishing well where once I fell,
Many pennies and wishes would would come true my way,
After falling into the chilling clear water, which I still remember with pride,
I walk with a smile because I know someday, you will be the one I find. 3-26-12

The Long Drive Home

3-17-2012 The Long Drive Home
Just to see you again was all that I wanted, the flight ,the drive,
The disposition of not knowing where I was,I don’t like,
Too much daydreaming staring out the window of this long flight,
I told you that I would see you,if even for a few short moments,
To me it was eye to eye, with many smiles that I really hope for,
Even if it was long ago,the memory last and last,
I hope to see you again ,soon, but I realize their may be a wait,
If I had one wish, it would be to see you before the sun goes down,
And one more smile before you are grown, to me your innocents prevails.
Part of the promise was to drive a long way on my way back home,
Living with you not around is difficult, which I guess I don’t mind.
Someday you may think of me, when you go see your grown up child.
I wish I would have spent more time with you, when you were around.

Looking For Gold In the Sandbox

3-18-2012	Looking for Gold in the Sandbox
There may have been a rumor or two about someone finding gold in the sandbox,
So we dig, some of us give in to this Riff-Raff right away, and look for better chances,
Others Waller about in the sand as if it were a shame, perhaps a blame,
Myself ,I have watched life pass me by, but I have been a part of the times,
Someday I will be deleted, never will be lost, my writings of rhyme.

Just a Matter of When

It’s just a matter of when,
Before I’ll fall in love again,
It’s been a long time coming,I don’t know why I pretend,
When it’s most obvious-that time again,
Many times I have walked on by,
If only I did not care,it would be like a dare,
I am without time to play the game, Like two ships passing in the night,

Only full flags are waving, rolling as the waves we’re on.
