Suicide of the Devil

A dagger to the heart.
Warmred oozes down his chest.
He slumps.
No pain, pleasure instead,
His heart now a hollow shell,
He is man.
Capable of Love or Hate,
He chooses neither.
The embodiment of devil may care.
This is how the devil died and I was born.

Poet's Oath

I explore the tangents of my mind,
to expand the horizon of my kind,
my kin, my friends in sin sublime,
who drink the same wine of wisdom of word,
of noun, subject, adjective, verb,
pronoun, in these we are never perturbed,
preposition, conjunction, we know their function,
and thrive to master the craft through expression,
blessed-curse, we dig deep into our phrase purse,
and scream through time our declaration of passion.

Faith

Thank you for not letting me know.
For that is how I know.

The Gods Among Us

The breath of the demon kids
subtlety sweetens the air around mortal men.
Strike down! Strike down!
Their hateful hearts a'bound!
Bless them in a pool of frowns,
all 'kind can do is sin.
The gods among us fight the faze,
and see the world a'grin.
Bite down! Bite down!
The flesh of life is fresh,
knowledge most bitter only a glaze,
yea, dip said dope again.

The Hope

As I live within this eve of the fall that I perceive,
the autumn of the world is near but this is not my greatest fear.
The Hope that fails to please the meek,
shall bless the turf that weak men seek.
The Fear dissolves within thine lives,
and paints our eyes some shade of blind.

Thunderstruck

How lovely is the lightning that leads to relaxing rain....

As the thunder rumbles away my pain....

My heart is pure, my soul unstained, yet I cry all the same....

Tears of joy? I remember not, most oft tears of disdain....

I shed them as I smile gently, for they are mine to claim.

Burn

A life revealed behind the shield,
that people take from birth till ill,
just to feel as if all is understood.

When life is learning,
no full understanding,
about pre-birth and post-ill,
yet yearning.

Find truth today tomorrow's burning.

Passive Pals

Friends fade into the common wave,
lost in their naiveté,
the days change the blame stays,
so on they go,
about their ways, insides rot.

Slave to the poison of their own creation,
oozing from their brain,
fragranting their breath,
voice saps life from their vicinity,
complaining insults, cease not.

Listening ears burn with rage,
and herald a life of ease,
free from lowly and lofty self-hate,
that self-feed such a disease,
ally ignores, rapeful ramblings never stop.

Ears cool and learn to let them fade,
from friend to cohort to stranger to slave,
happily hateful world workers,
stressfully loving their blightful lives,
patter of greater prosperity, zot but a prop.

I Am Poem

unquenched thoughts on an empty plate
fail to fill the void
that the multitude hold so dear
as they contemplate the joys
of the breath ending silver
that sets japery up most curiously.
Yet truth concise shall reign most pure.
I am poem honestly.

Soar

Life controlled by the mass
True independence but a gas.
To familiar folk, minds on presents past
But I could never be.

The world repeats
Apples from trees
Crowding together, orchards of disease.
Shan't we grow where we please?
Nay, lest shade is what we seek.

The hive it hates the lonely bug
That tries to soar as eagle does.
When I join the clouds above
I hope that they can see.
