Never

So bitter, so strange
I will never know her mind
Or what speaks within

Fading

Walking the path
I one day stopped
And questioned it
Where are you leading?
From my eyes
I see little in front
And less in back
Where do I go?
As time forges on
Fading, I lose the path
Flying over treetops
My thoughts jumping
From cloud to cloud
When will I see it?
When will I truly know
That my time has come
My days are numbered
That whatever may come
And whatever may not
Will be from my soul
Why does the path lead out
And not in?
What will I do,
When all I have left is myself?

Awake

I live for
Those moments in the deep of the night
Lying awake
The world full of romance
As if it were the Moulin Rouge
Something that feels eternal
Pounding through my head
My mind awhirl
Everything is within reach
Beauty!
Freedom!
Truth!
Love!
My soul is soaring
My mind alight
I live for these moments.

Blue Eyes

Remember a place
a face
time lost
wandering through
a world remembered
timeless blue eyes
never ending gaze
never understanding
feelings end
new and old
blending, blurring
memory wanders
beginning wonders
time lost
grace lost
home remembered
