Lera Williams Poem
To whom it may concern
I'm already prepared to learn,
To learn the life, life long teaching
There are some goals I need to be reaching
People tells me that, I'm all so young
Really, there's no need to be concern,
So curious adult life could be
But they keep saying relax and be me
From infant to toddler to teenage lifehood
All so much, I'm misunderstood,
Adulthood is so intriguing to me
But they keep saying relax just be free
It's much easier said than done
All I've been trying to do is have fun,
My life as a child was very, very complicated
I use to get so mad and frustrated
Growing up so fast at a young age
I only had time to just turn a page,
Still there are life lesson to be learn
As I continue to write, To Whom It May Concern.

Lera Williams Poem
No, I'll never give up
Come what may no matter what,
Situations may come that cause me to falter
All I'm going to do is kneel at the alter.
I'll tell Jesus as soon as I kneel
Because he knows how I really feel,
Jesus said he'll see me through
And when he's done there won't be any residue.
No, I won't give up without a fight
Weeping may endure only for a night,
I'm going to hold out and endure to the end
As long as, I keep leaning and depending on my friend.
My friend Jesus is a powerful man
He has all power in his hand,
I'll keep fighting no matter what
Believe me you, I'll Never Give Up!

Lera Williams Poem
Little girl, little girl that was bourn premature
The devil thought the had her, But he didn't know the shocking truth,
She was save and blessed in a special way
That's the reason why, she was born on the 15th of May.
Time has past one month then two
She grew so fast I didn't even have a clue,
Now that her first birthday has come
Believe me you, this child is not dumb.
Very peculiar child the Bishop said
I know this child is Spirit led,
Now that she has turned two
If you let her, she will pray for you.
When she was born, she was so small
Who would have thought that she'd be so tall,
This child is my whole world
Doesn't matter how old she gets, she'd still be my Little Girl.

Lera Williams Poem
Happy Birthday to you
I hope all your wishes come true,
You were born on the eleventh of December
That day, I'll always remember.
Time has past and you have grown
But to me it doesn't weem that long,
Doesn't seem like eleven years
Looking back over time brought back tears.
I've enjoyed the many many days
I even enjoyed when you went through your phase,
The phase of whining and then aggravating
Even when you call yourself dating.
I look forward to days, weeks, months, and years
I know it will bring me some challenging tears,
I hope and pray I'll be able to give you a hand
And watch you grow into a man.
This conclude my poem to you
Still hoping your wishes came true,
I have nothing much left to say
But I only want to wish you Happy Birthday!!

Lera Williams Poem
No one listen to a word I say
This continue to go on everyday,
Time after time week after week
The words I say seem so bleak.
I get tired of repeating the same old stuff
They ought to know it by now cause I say it enough,
I wonder do they care about what I say a all
Well, I guess not because they won't follow protocol.
If they do the work and get on one accord
Then they will realize the work wasn't so hard,
When they don't do the chores, I bring out my rod
Now all of a sudden, they wanna call on God.
God don't wanna listen and hear what you say
He's gonna say you should listen and obey,
I wouldn't have use the rod if they'd payed attention
All because no one would listen.

Lera Williams Poem
My friend became my sister since 1994
We met one day while going to the store,
The bond that day we had was great
Our friendship, I then began to cultivate.
You've been there for me through thick and thin
I'm sure you remember all my sins,
You've been there for Me through all my upsets
Even there when, I had some regrets.
I've never had a friend that's been so true
Until the day I met you,
A friend is so hard, so hard to find
Especially those that's in their right mind.
We have been friends since forever
Now our friendship has gone to another level,
There's no other person I would prefer
Than Aline Reynolds to be My Sister.

Lera Williams Poem
No time he spends with us
He says because I fuss,
Fuss that is all I do
But he knows, I'm telling the truth.
The truth the don't want to hear
So he says, I'm fixing to do dear,
I'll be gone for a little while
Until you stop acting like a child.
He don't spend time with us like he should
But you know that's all good,
Words he way that's just a phase
Watch it, God will soon shorten his days.
He claims he's broke and broke all the time
I hope he don't think i'm going to believe that line,
Believe that line that's what he thought
I don't really care that's his fault.
If only he would spend time with us
Then I wouldn't keep up so much fuss,
Then I don't have to drop a dime
If only he would spend a little time.

Lera Williams Poem
My life was so rugged and blue
Until God blessed me with a gentlemen like you,
I stop believing in love, love so kind and so true
I started back believing the day I laid eyes on you.
I was so skeptical this time around
Oops! I'd better watch it I don't wanna fall down,
Down the road of loneliness and despair
Hmmm....will I ever find someone who really care?
Indeed, it did take a long, long time
But who would have thought that, you, this man could be mine,
The actual day we meet was in July
But when you went to Montgomery, I felt like I was going to die.
In Montgomery way up there
I came to realize that, that was nowhere,
The days I came to stay with you
Made me realize all the more, this love must be true.
The time we spent, we spent it well
Gosh gee! that sounds like weddings bells,
Bells of music, joy, and laughter
Bells that could means happily for ever after.
After two or three days, I had to come back here
The thought of being without you caused me to shed a tear,
I'm counting down the days that I would use certain initials
Praying and hoping that it would be Mrs. Jermaine Mitchell.

Lera Williams Poem
Behind the scenes, they do the most work
Sometimes, they get frustrated and a little hurt,
A little hurt because of the fight in the air
All because, they're trying to deliver your prayer.
They encamped round about you all night and day
Making sure that, you're doing ok,
Standing around waiting on you
For you to give them something to do.
Now that he has made it up there
He hands the Lord your prayer,
The Lord in turn gives him the solution
For you to be free from the imps' persecution.
Now that he's on his way back to you
Once again, fighting his way through,
Fighting his way through the fowls of the air
Bringing the answer to your prayer.
If you don't know by now, he's your Angel
He helps protects you from all hurt, harm, and danger,
This is our Angels everyday routine
He works all day Behind The Scenes.

Lera Williams Poem
I've loved you mother since I've laid eyes on you
Through my eyes your the prefect view,
You've been there for me through thick and thin
Even when my life first began.
From infant to toddler to teenage and adulthood
With those changes, you still understood,
I know I've hadn't always done right
I was even disobedient and stayed out all night.
To you loving me is worthwhile
Although, I had changed my lifestyle,
For me, you'll be the only woman I'll ever love
That's why you were sent from Heaven above.
I didn't understand then like I do now
Somethings back then you didn't allow,
Now I'm on the verge of turning forty-two
I realize all those things you taught were true.
I appreciate the things you have bestowed
The values you taught led me down the right road,
Thank you for the values you placed in my heart and mind
A mother like you is so very hard to find.
My love for you mom is deep in my heart
Without you, I wouldn't know where to start,
Loving you has been worth while
And I thank God for letting me be your child.
