Brian Pierre-Alexander Poem
Why vote for governments
That uses you
That abuses you
Confuses you and refuses you
Why vote for governments
That doesn’t respect or defend your rights
And fight with all their might’s
Why vote for governments that are not contrite
And feel their evil doings are alright
Why vote for governments
That steals the meals off poor people’s plate
Yes I know you can relate
You lobbyist and you rich conglomerates
You leaders brought this world to this state
You closed equal opportunity gates
You email-gate, water-gate, racial profile, hate!
You collaborate to devastate by inaugurate debates
And brain washing mandates
You empty and launder it
The treasury’s financial reserves hey wait!
You vaingloriously defend your scandals eh mate
Yeh! You really forced me to explashiate
Against fractured cannibalistic nature politics
Syndromes of “eat ah food” government’s historics
Past and present, you categorize and polarize
Our society for your sooooole benefits
Eh why vote mate?

Brian Pierre-Alexander Poem
Traces of Haile Selassie ‘I’
The Lion still roars
Traces of Martin Luther King
dream lives on
Traces of Bob Marley
In song “get up stand up for your rights”
Traces of Malcolm X
Segregation fight still burns bright
Traces of Mandela's
Fight for justice set free
Traces of Marcus Garvey
Purpose and His-story
My people realign and trace
History of their victories
On the walls of the Pyramids and sand
Inscribe with Sculpt object in hand
It is said “there is no future without history”
Revelation given by our ancestries
Traces from ancient of times
Activating inquiring minds…

Brian Pierre-Alexander Poem
My I-thiopian Empress
With skin so smooth and fresh
My I-thiopian Empress
You’re divine, my royal tempest.
My I-thiopian Empress
With lips of gentle tenderness
My I-thiopian Empress
Behold the beautiful covenant…I kiss.

Brian Pierre-Alexander Poem
With heaping speed like the flash
Am ah make a dash
My bed calls, dive in... splashhh
It was an honor and a pleasure
Poetry writers you'll so clever
Poetrysoup had me in a spell
O! well, farewell...
Goodnight ya'll
Catch you on the rebound
Tomorrow then, sleep well
o·ver·whelm·ing zzzzz-ing song

Brian Pierre-Alexander Poem
I made my way to the Airport
Board my flight, destination…New York
Secured my seat I began staring out the window
Ready set for the spectacle display on show
Lift off...and away we go
Turning to our left like a boomerang-bow
Above the clouds my eyes start explore
There are things about the clouds I do adore
As we pass over the Island of Grenada, I saw
Beautiful cloud formation...encore
There was a gate guarded by two Angels with spears
Inside sat a King proud and fierce
Flanked by Angels in garment white and clean
Guarding his kingdom from us… or so it seem
It was the most beautiful thing I’ve seen
No dream, all real what I saw
I just love staring out the window…

Brian Pierre-Alexander Poem
She claimed her rights as a young lady
And in the coming years a woman
She don’t want to be an endangered species hunted by violence daily
She got rights too…she’s a human
Stand against this bliss
Gender Base Violence a sure diss
No more verbal abuse, emotional abuse or physical abuse
It’s your rights to reject abuse, so claim it, good news
You can only be his victim
Only if you allow yourselves to be used by him
You’re no longer going to be told…shut up!
You’re worthless, or what you say is meaningless…Just stop!
Or you’re stupid or call you names to graphic to repeat
After that, he says he loves you you’re so sweet
Well, decide today…that behavior is unacceptable
The truth comes before the love…Whether Sharon, Susan or Mable
Cause if he truly love you
He won’t want to abuse you
Are my words credible, Gender Base Violence become a label
Let’s take action and fight with all our might
“Claim your Rights”

Brian Pierre-Alexander Poem
History of folklore in T & T
Influence by West African and Creole Spirituality
Narrated and told around kerosene lamps, our folklore
Characters, deities in ancient tribes before
Legend and stories fused with intricate mythology
Still inhabit conscious vulnerability
PAPA BOIS, the protector of forest, master of animal
DOUEN, child like entity lure children into the supernatural
LA DIABLESSE, the seductress temptress symbol of lust
MAMA D’LEAU the river fairy-maid with long hair, beautiful and lush
Bloodsucking ball of fire SOUCOYANT
Shape changing LAGAHOO phenomenon
Mischievous trouble makers are JUMBIES
Night roaming Ghost afraid of salt, called DUPPIES
The Folkloric tradition preserved by our ancestors
Be it your imagination of half man-half bird atop a car
We’ll always hear stories of all kinds of Folklore and folktale
La! La! La!

Brian Pierre-Alexander Poem
My name is flower
Of number one display and color
To commit suicide I decide
To take nuclear waste or pesticide
Am tired of you people polluting the air
Polluting our rivers and streams that's not fair
You clear out our jungles, you cut down our mountains
To make way for tall buildings Hollywood Mansions and fountains
You burn fuel for energy source
Depleting the ozone showing no remorse
You drill, you drain the earth of it's natural resource and nutrients
Causing a shift in the earth's plate
Evidence Tsunami and Earth Quake
I cannot take it anymore
This is the final straw
Yes am gonna commit suicide
Either by Nuclear Waste or Pesticide
O! yes you need me for oxygen
along with all other plant life existing
So if I were to take them all with me you'll die
You'll be no more... no lie?
So sit back admire the beauty, the splendor
The wonderful blossoming of a flower
In my last breath I write this suicide note

A Thunderous Roar
But Yet With An Accent I Do Adore
Jamaican Speech Synchronized
With A French And Bim Flavor
Locks Beautiful And Blonde
Power, Strength & Spiritual Vibes Surround
With Eyes That Are Turquoise Green
And Words That Are Divine And Clean
Out To Rise Up Mankind
And Free Us From Babylon
Aswan The Lioness
Protector Of The Lair
Empress To The Throne
Positive Vibes, Positive Thinking
Brings A Positive Meaning
To A Positive Life
