Drop the Ocean, Lift the Sky

Drop the ocean, lift the sky, Today seems like a goodbye, Memories of your voice forever linger. Drink the potion, get me high, Tears start to multiply, You wouldn't even try to lift a finger. Cast the demons out of here, Lift me up, I have no fear, Show you what it means to say I love you. Wake me up, grab a beer, Fill my cup, and shed a tear, My love for you has always been this true. Drain the ocean, engulf the land, Time to focus, begin again, Learn to live without you by my side. Convey the notions, my own brand, Revolve my life, and take a stand, Without you, I know, I will be alright. Ring the bell, sound the horn, Today I have been reborn, I can do this all on my own. Rise the fell, mend the torn, Persevere through all the scorn, My, look at how much you have grown. Drop the ocean, lift the sky, Today seems like a goodbye, Memories of your voice forever linger.

Oblivion

Eternal Torment,
Condemned to Self-Destruction,
I'm Oblivion.

Under the Alaskan Sun

Nine months of darkness, Snow on the ground, No leaves on the trees, No warmth around. As the winter comes to a close, Lakes and rivers still seem froze, Soon the waters will break free, Moving life far as eyes can see, And now its time to have some fun, Playing under the Alaskan sun. Rivers are running , bears now conscious, Birds a flutter, fish obnoxious, Breathing in the summer air, Floating down the river bare, Baggie of green, cooler filled supreme, Almost as if, it were all a dream. When I look back, old and grey, I'll remember the nights and days, When we found euphoria under the Alaskan sun.

You're the Artist

Everything happens for a reason, No matter the time of day or season. Whether it be good or bad, No need to be mad or sad. These emotions will waste your focus, In due time you will notice, How distracting they can be. Close your eyes and you will see. Think of things that bring you joy, Not of things that stress and annoy, When times are hard and you are low, Destiny will appear and show, The reason for the transpiration, No need for contemplation. Everything will be okay, Time goes on, day to day, Make a reason for yourself, Rescue your emotional health, Keep on trekking, go the farthest, Change the stars, you're the artist.

Sunny Days and Rainy Nights

Sunny days and rainy nights, Thunder howling causing fright, Everyone says it will be alright, Try to endure with human might. Places I'll go, and places I've been , Where will I start, where will I end , No one to tell me , no one to send, Letters to my family if I can't fend . Time goes on and days go by, Years and years seem to fly, Time goes on and tears are cried, Life's a roller coaster, enjoy the ride. Ups and downs from time to time, Try to keep your head right, rhyme for rhyme, Work hard as you can, dime for dime, Following the wind , chime for chime, Don't expect humility, life is raw, Fall down, bounce up, like a see saw. When you're down you will find, Emotions on paper can ease your mind, Write what you feel, it can free your bind, Life is a stitch and death is kind. Only thing I've left to say, Live, laugh, love and enjoy the day.

Willpower

What's the hardest thing to do? It all comes down to life and you. Lest you find your self controlled, Learn to harness will, behold. Power to choose within your soul, Overcome and destroy control. With your mind you can achieve, Endure through, you must believe. Resist temptation, prepare celebration.

One August Morning

One August morning, waiting for those birthday presents, Then with no warning, down stairs came my parents, And with them came a special surprise, Our family was ending , due to lies. Divorce was the word of choice, Pain in my fathers voice , Too young to understand, Why this was being planned, Ever since this damn event, My family has grown more distant. Soon after mom was gone, My eldest sis embarked upon, A journey of her own. My other sis went with mom, All alone with dad .com, Stayed with him a couple of years, Soon followed the steps of my family peers, I feel bad for leaving, Left my father , alone and grieving, Why should I be the one to stay, When it comes down to it, were all grey, One day maybe we, Can once again be family.

A Broken Heart

Gravity weighs down,
Breathing becomes impossible,
Lifeless, empty, eyes.

There Lives a Man

Thoughts echo, mental void,
Deep, dark, empty void,
****ed it here, ****ed it there,
****ed it up, ****ed it up.
Demons come and demons go,
Demons live and demons sow,
Demons die , demons lie,
Demons cloud demons pry.
Sober thoughts, drunken words,
Red skys , infernal birds.
In the dark , there lives a man,
Alone and cold, there lives a man,
There he sits a simple man,
Soul abandoned , a lonesome man,
He wants to die, deaths a thought,
Whats the point , just a thought,
Angels cry, and demons hiss,
Living life, voided bliss,
Life will come and life will go,
A dark man comes here, to and fro,
Prys his eyes and pricks his brain,
Slowly still he goes insane,
In the dark there lives a man,
Trying to do the best he can,
Dieing is just a simple plan,
Will he try? he can he can,
At what cost, does life come too,
Red white black and blue,
No one but himself to blame,
No one but himself to shame.
There a man, still a boy,
Yearning for his ode to joy.

Trials

The sun will rise, and the sun will set, Everyday, the older you get, Daily lessons , taught yourself, Experience gained, set atop a shelf. Mental problems thought to be, A silent solemn catastrophe. I heard wisdom comes with age, I see different , turn the page, Wisdom seems to come with trials, Placed in front, stretched out for miles, Some will make and some will break, Lessons out there for the take, Failing and falling down, Just remember not to frown, Get back up a little wiser, Throw the gas on the fire, Ignite the flame that is your brain, Live your life it's open bar, Just don't forget who you are.
