Night-Time One-Girl Show

Alone by myself in the dark of night
Here I find solace, there is no light

I think, reflect, grow, ignite
When most sleep, eyes closed tight

Active, wild, creative is my soul
Contrasting shadows dim I so well know

Awareness heightened only by the sound
Of the hush of the dark, my thoughts abound

It appeals to me more than you know
Because it’s my night-time
One-Girl Show

Mr Elephant

There is something in the room
He sits between me and you

Stronger he grows, more vocal by the day
Our well-worn words tangle into grey

Try not to peek, take him for real
We're not sure his purpose is to heal

Ah ha! Deny you I can't
I finally see you…

Mr. Elephant

Music

Music is my bliss, happy, alone in my room
I hear the drumbeat, boom boom boom

Hours go by, slip away, one, two, five
Lyrics speak to me, deep, I’m so alive

Hip hop, jazz, rhythm and blues
Music unto me transfuse

The music lives in me, magnificent, sublime
I just want to jump, dance, move in time

Truth

Maybe this time, this day, for me
New breath, eyes open, I will see

Lucid are my memories of long ago
I see father, sister, child,
Spirits high, faces aglow

Accepting truth in the form revealed
Its nakedness, vulnerability well-heeled

Seemingly transformed, living in the now
Flawless vision, wisdom, know-how

All at once truth appears
A calm and simple state

Once revealed.
