Burn

I see blinding fire in the sky.
I see people burning alive.
The smoke rises above town.
Water won't quench the flame.
I see people die.
see people cry.
and at last,
see me
die

Valerie

With blackened palms I rise from the ashes as the last one standing.

The only one left on this forsaken planet who understands what its like to live in the arms of the one I love.

With bleeding hands I pry you away from the demons of the world.

All the things on this earth than can harm you.

With bloodshot eyes, I look into yours as I collapse into your lap.

I fought so hard to have you and I grow weary from the battle.

With blood drenched ears which have heard the lies of the world, I listen to the sound of your voice.

I hear your words and I smile.

As my heart is torn from my chest, I realize I still stand, fighting the war for you.

Bleeding from head to toe, I wage war against all who will hurt you.

I stare into your eyes as my heart fails to beat just one last time.

With tired feet, I stand. And with blooded arms, I wrap myself around you.

As I walk away, all my wounds are healed.

As the last man standing, you give me your heart.

You wash my hands and you let me rest on you.

When I wake from my slumber, you're still by my side.

Fighting a battle for me.

I wake and I rise, and I pick up my sword.

Fighting for us side by side

You Only Live Once

one chance at life.
i cant screw this up.
only one shot.
i cant mess this up.
you only live once.
so why not have some fun?
Raised to belive,
that we're all gonna die.
you only have one life
you only live once.
one life, one chance,
only one shot.

Brutality

Sitting here.
in the blackened darkness.
there is no light,
no sign of life.
and my heart beats slowly,
my veins pulse blood,
the blood could be black,
the blood could be red.
but the color does not matter
because its all going to be on the floor soon.
the darkness is unrelenting,
this depression is all but sad.
this lack of light,
the loss of life,
has become my closest friend.
my human friends are gone,
left to decay.
my soul is gone,
lost and betrayed.
and yet i sit here,
happy as can be,
bleeding on the ground.
knowing that i will soon be gone too.

A Dark Sun Rises

by the darkness of the moon,
I rise from this grave.
these barren lands
which hold my rotting corpse.
and I stand.
I stand in my hole.
6 feet of dirt.
and I watch the sun as it comes.
I have seen this sun rise
day in and day out.
but what makes it any better this time?
It gives me hope now,
a chance for a new life.
a hope for a new day.
And light for a darkened path.
