Pete Schaubroeck Poem
Twas a week before Christmas
I was driving through town
Not a caroler was singing
Nor could one be found
I drove to the mall
To check out the scene
But people were rude
Obnoxious and mean
They were pushing and shoving
To get that great deal
This was not Christmas
How can this be real
Have we forgotten
What Christmas is for
Is there no cheer
Or joy anymore
I dropped to my knees
And I screamed really loud
Please Christmas spirit
Take over this crowd
Open their eyes
And help them to see
We're killing our Christmas
How can this be
It got really quiet
Then I said without fear
"MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL
THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE YEAR"

Pete Schaubroeck Poem
A daisy looses a pedal
Fall has now run deep
The ground gets cold and hard
She droops and begins to weep
Knowing the end is almost here
She edges toward the ground
With a slight and sudden shiver
In snow she soon will drownd
Mourning comes the sun arrives
Its a clear yet brisky day
She slowly rises up again
Nearby some children play
Before another pedal falls
A little girl walks by
Pulls the daisy from the ground
Then says" you will not die "
She takes it home gets a vase
Where she puts it in some water
Then Sets it in the sunlight
Just like her mother taught her
After about a week or so
A pedal falls to the floor
She lays her daisy in a book
Of memories she'll store
The daisy may have died that day
But that was not her end
She's in a book of memories
Kept by her little friend!

Pete Schaubroeck Poem
Santa Clause, Santa Clause
Please hear me speak
This may be my last wish
Things are looking bleak
My wishes in the past
Were always about fun
Now with all my heart
I have a special one
I know it will be tough
I'll never ask again
But my little boy is dying
He's only turning ten
Just about a week ago
We were in a crash
Never saw what hit us
It happened in a flash
Dad and mom had died
My son is here with me
I cannot live without him
Santa can you see
His mom would surely miss him
His sister will always cry
He has so many friends
He's needed more than I
If you could talk to God
Plead to him my case
My one and only wish
To let me take his place
I have lived a lifetime
But his has just begun
My wish this year for Christmas
Take me in place of my son..

Pete Schaubroeck Poem
Read these words I write of truth
What we left for our youth
This place called home, Mother Earth
Supply's all things for lifes birth
A brilliant sky so distant and blue
Smokey clouds that mountains soar through
Such beautiful waters once crisp and clean
Slowly die as they turn green
Flourishing lands to provide us food
Yet still we treat her oh so crude
One of these days it will be to late
We have no time to sit and wait
Our childrens future is at hand
For one day this will be their land
So much was given for all to share
Then greed stepped in out went fair
Lets get started and get things done
Earths supply will soon be none
Theres no other planet that we can see
We've searched throughout history
We must band together and turn things around
To make Mother Earth safe and sound
Try to change the way we live
Don't take as much and try to give
Clean up our mess and plant some trees
Care more about the birds and the bees
Love the earth as you love your child
Before she turns violent and things get wild
Maybe we could slow things down
Clean it all up town by town
The time is now this very day
Her beauty slowly melts away
So stop and think what can we do
To keep our waters clean and blue
Things won't change unless we try
Or MOTHER EARTH will surely die!!

Pete Schaubroeck Poem
There's a place in my heart
That fills through the years
Like the first time I held you
My eyes filled with tears
Where daddy's little girl
Is always there to hold
I could make you laugh
With the stories that I told
I tried to give you everything
The things I never had
I did the best that I could
To be the greatest dad
My little girl you've grown so fast
I find it hard to believe
I walked you down the isle today
For a lucky man to recieve
I'll trust him to always love you
For now you are his wife
To charish and respect you
Protect you with his life
One day you'll have a little girl
I'm sure one just like you
She'll always keep you going
As she fills your heart up too..

Pete Schaubroeck Poem
In this beautiful world were dying
Theres not enough people trying
We don't see those who are crying
Its time for us to change
Some have more then they need
Their only friends name is greed
They have the power to feed
Its time for us to change
Old people die with no love
Do we forget who were made of
Their not yet in heaven above
Its time for us to change
This planet was made for all
Only united can we stand tall
Without god we will surely fall
Its time for us to change
