A Real Man

A real man never cries but endures!
When pains of the world rain upon him he endures!
When the sky is dark and horrific moments come, he endures!
Even on the edges of the deep dark deadly death, he endures!
Not even the reckless trembling rifles of the wars shall make him cry!
Nor the big bad blood sucking bats shall frighten him to cry.
He is the saviour of his of his own territory and
No other man shall rule his land on his presence, never!
He is a god of his temple and a King in his royalty.

Tell me not about the weak pathetic man,
Who cries to death when impediments comes,
Whose knees quiver and rumple when the worst come
Who sold their manhood cheap with a piece of cake!
Man is no man that cries without enduring,
For endurance is what differentiates boys from man
And boys shall not stay in the same territory with man.

I Am That Child

I am that child

Who grew up from the deep dusty winds of the Cape!!
Who dwelled deep in the hectic intestines of poverty
Who’s voice was weakened by powerlessness,
Who lived like an ant between the elephants ,
Who became a mat to wipe the foot of the rich
Who became a victim of stereotypes of the rich ,
Who was lonely in the bunch of crowd ,
Whos presence portrayed pity to the self-righteous
I am that child and I hope you can remember me.

Who said rain never falls in the desert?
Who said zeroes never become heroes?
Who said David would never beat Goliath?
Who said an ant can never kill an elephant
Who said storms will last forever?
Never not even once!!

I am that child who saw the light in the dark
I am that child who conquered temptations with distinction
I am that child who was a zero who became a hero!
I am proud of my own achievement and not of free gifts

It Was Not Easy But It Was Worth It

Having to accept that there will never be us
Having to accept that you are a branch of another man
Learning to leave with the new picture of you
It was not easy but it really was worth it!!
Learning to dream dreams that do not have you
Swallowing a bitter ghastly taste of you not being mine
Having to smile and act as if everything is just fine
It was not easy but it was worth it!!
Having to quit the battle before it even started
Abandoning the dream of all years and move on
Putting the blinkers on my face so I cannot see what’s going on!!
It was not easy but it was worth it!!

For what significance is it wishing for something that is not yours?
For how helpful is it chasing a phantom, something that is not there?
For love means considering the happiness of your associate
Your heart is at its happiness state and so I should accept it but
It was not easy but it was worth it, believe me you
