Beauty Is In the Eye of the Beholder

Some people say you're black or white
But all i see is a wonderful human being

Some people say you're too skinny or too fat
But all i see is a perfect body

Some people say you have crooked teeth
But all i see is a beautiful smile

Some people say i'm blind not to see all these
But i let them know beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Today I Lost My Job

Today I lost my job
I'm not going to despair
So don't expect me to feel sorry for myself
'Cause today I lost my stress
And all the troubles of my life
I'm going to rise again
Far greater than I was before

Today I lost my job
I'm not going to cry
So don't expect me to breakdown
'Cause today I lost my burden
And everything that is holding me down
I'm going to bounce back
Far better than I used to be

Today I lost my job
I'm not going to die
So don't expect me to kill myself
'Cause today I break free from my bondage
And every obstacle around me
I'm going to make it
Far beyond expectation.

Nigeria, Nigeria, My Beloved Nigeria

Nigeria! Nigeria!! my beloved Nigeria
How you've suffered, how you've been rendered barren and useless
A country full of milk and honey
A country rich in people, culture and traditions
Gone were those days when you were the pride of Africa
Gone were those days that you were regarded as the giant of Africa
Gone were those days of our founding fathers
Gone were those days of the likes of Amadu Bello, Nnamdi Azikiwe and Obafemi Awolowo
Gone were those days when we used to have elder statesmen
Gone were those days when we have people that would strive for your unity and integrity
What we are left with now are bunch of greedy and selfish politicians
What we are left with now are bunch of thieves
Those that illegally and unjustifiably stole their way into your heart and soul
Those that bribed and cheated their way into power
Those that are ready to suck and milk you dry and make you barren
Those that are ready to destroy the future of our great nation
Nigeria! Nigeria!! I weep for my beloved Nigeria.

I Knock On the Door of Your Heart

I knock on the door of your heart
To come into your soul
And feel the warmth of your love
Every second and every minute of the day

I knock on the door of your life
To come into your world
And rejoice in your affection
Everyday of my life

I knock on the door of your heart
To come into your life
And enjoy the beauty of your love
From now to the end of time.

Truly, the Lord Answers Prayer

My mum was on the sick bed
She was so weak that we thought she wouldn't make it
Through the night we prayed for the Lord to save her soul
In the morning i heard sound coming from the kitchen
As i entered, i was amazed to see my mum making breakfast
Before i could speak she raised her hand and said
Truly, the Lord answers prayer.

In church people were singing and praying
Among the congregation, some were speaking in tongues
Suddenly! i heard someone screamed and ran to the alter
I was surprised to see that it was the lady that was brought on wheelchair
Jumping and dancing she grabbed the Microfone
And with tears running down her face she said
Truly, the Lord answers prayer.

At the hospital, in the intensive care unit
Lying in coma three days after the terrible accident
The doctors said nothing else could be done but just to hope and pray
So we called on the Lord to take control of the situation
The following day as we entered he was staring directly at us
And with a smile on his face he said
Truly, the Lord answers prayer.

At junior high, we were playing behind the classroom
Then all of a sudden, we heard a loud noise
And before we knew it the entire wall of the building collapsed
Over thirty kids buried in the rubble only one didn't make it
Though it could have been worse but our innocent prayers that morning was answered
When i reflect on these and many more it makes me realize
That truly, the Lord answers prayer.

This Life

I know a place, where nothing and everything is possible
a place, where good and evil co-exist
a place, where joy and sorrow mingles
a place, where the hopeless hope in miracle to have hope
this life, is where survival begins and end.

I know a place, where only the lucky ones survive
a place, where hard work does not guarantees success
a place, where only the lucky few can make it
while majority lingered in abject poverty
this life, is where dreams are made and marred.

I know a place, where some people will do anything to make it
a place, where the downfall of someone is the breakthrough for another
a place, where conscience and soul can be bought and sold
this life, is where some people's tears are others laughter.

I know a place, where happiness and sadness is not a matter of choice
a place, where you only get what comes to you and not what you desires
a place, where some people live at others mercy
this life, is fair to some and unfair to others.

Unbreakable Bond

I remember in my 3rd grade class our paths first crossed
You reached out for my hand instead you touched my heart
Since then we've built a bond that's unbreakable and shatterproof
We share our pains and we nurse each other's wound
Always looking out for one another in our times of need
So close we are we speak without uttering a word;
We share a language that's secret
We built a wall to guide our confidences and no one can breach it
I bring to you this moment my silent confession
Chiquita Chiamaka Baity, you are my very best friend.

The Cloud Weeps

The cloud weeps
To provide water for mankind, plants and animals
Through the tears from her blue eyes.

Happy Day

Happy day, happy hour
Hour of praise and worship

Happy day, happy time
Time to rejoice and be glad

Happy day, happy moment
Moment of joy and laughter

Happy day , happy life
Life of achievement and fulfillment.
