The Shadow With Scizophrenia

I walked upon an empty step,
Where a shadowed body was kept.
The shadow was beat,
Turning as cold as winter sleet.

It had bright blue eyes,
That extended all through the skies.
The shadow was nine,
Living to be blind.

I walked to the figure,
As it would evilly linger.
People would laugh at it,
As it snarled and bit.

The shadow diagnosed with
schizophrenia,
Beating itself, the others, as if a
mania.
No one could reach out,
No one gave it water, as it was in a
drought.

I was determined to bring its colors,
Be the one to treat it like no other.
The shadow hated me,
Told me Hell is where I should be.

Not giving in,
Not creating one other sin.
I drew it pictures, wrote it letters,
Tried to blossom its feathers.

Then the day came,
When there had to be an end to the
game.
Not wanting to leave,
Not wanting the devil to its thieve.

As I was bout to walk through the
door,
The shadow came upon me, on the
open floor.
Held out his arms,
As I smiled and lowered his alarms.

The shadow had a name,
Brought about with little shame.
The shadow was a boy,
Played with by the devil as if a toy.

I played with fire,
Burning loosely like a run away tire.
But he finally knew I was there,
Someone who was willing to care.

Ball

That feeling when you step to plate,
Knowing it's some type of fate.
Looking at an open grass,
With three bases you need to pass.

Grasping life by the hand,
Time to take this with a grand slam!
Stepping to home,
A swing with a small groan.

I watch as the ball got plastered,
As I ran faster and faster.
Slide to second!
Drop the ball!
Steal the third!
Good call.

It's when I stare at home,
My mind fixates to a drone.
There went the "CLING",
As my legs began to sing.

Home I go,
It's the more I know.
The cheers abrupt,
But die when we know it's not enough.

I Live In the Country

I slipped on my boots,
Headed out for some loot.

I can settle in the barn,
But not in chair fiddling with some yarn.

Ain't that type to stick around,
Gotta' stand tall, stand my ground.

I wanna' work in the law,
Even if doesn't handle a saw.

I got a truck,
All beat down, like my luck.

I like livin' in the country,
My roots lived here over a century.

The issue is,
The city is where my dream lives.

Packin' up my truck,
Imma let the streets know what just struck!

Love Is a Choice

Love is great,
And a common trait.
From shore to shore,
With each heart on the floor.
They take their hands,
And give by strands.
Love is a need,
For your heart to feed.
It's lenght will mature,
For ever open door.
Chest to chest,
Moving west,
As they look beyond,
Their passion grows more fond.
A second chance,
Shall make them prance.
A mistake is with fate,
To open that gate.
It's your decision,
To create more fission.
Love is a choice,
Controlled by your voice.

Guernica

April 26th, 1937,
There came a day, when some would see Heaven.
The light shine above the heads,
To resemble the sparks of the bombs threads.

Mothers with their children,
Running out of the burning building.
German and Irish planes,
Flying above the open flames.

It was during the Spanish Civil War,
That lit the devils door.
Running through the ashes,
As the corps of the giving cattle crashes.

All you could do was watch,
If you weren't smart enough to launch.
Families refusing to leave their home,
Their love deepened as shown.

April 26, 1937,
Was when God got most up in heaven.

The Wings of a Dove

The way you speak,
The way you smile,
Makes my emotions leak;
For a while.
The intensity of our glances,
Always influence my heart to do prances.
Your caressing words,
Influencing the birds,
That fly in the sky,
Where truancy lies.
The dominate passion,
Suiting your fashion.
Surrounding our love,
With the wings of a dove.

Love Like a Feather

The cries devastating our lives.
I wanted to hold onto you,
Forever always two.
As though nothing to ever lose,
I never thought I'd have to choose.
My heart upon your hands,
Never slipping through the strands.
The love was everlasting,
Always described as flabbergasting.
You were once my muse,
Till fate covered the fuse.
I sit and wait,
Wondering how long I had to stare straight.
My love for you still rises,
Across the lifeless horizon.
My bones still held together,
Till I loose that hope of forever.
The bonds once clever,
Our love once like a feather,
It could never be replaced.
No matter the amounts of lives is traced.

Perfectly Fine

I won't lie,
It was hard to say Goodbye.
The sight of you,
Was like my hearts cue.
It was then I knew,
That maybe it could be true.
I can't sleep,
For your in my mind too deep.
It may seem sudden,
But sweetheart, I'm still learnin'.
You got me restlessly turnin',
You got my heart desiringly burnin'.
My beat races when talking to you,
Are you sure your ready to make it us two?
I don't let down my guard,
But baby you sure did get far.
I lie down thinkin' of us,
Waking up with even more trust.
To me your mine,
To me this is all perfectly fine.

Stardust Covered In Harmony

There's a place of sanctuary,
That shows me a face of statuary.
I would travel to the roof,
Where the moon would keep it aloof.

Lie on my back,
Set my heart to the steady track.
Falling down to my eyes,
Are the shinning stars from the skies.

Laying unto me a blanket of dust,
That the night found to me a must.
Speaking to the shadowed clouds,
While it formatted my long lost drowds.

You could peer into my eyes,
There you would see the reflection of the skies.
You'd see harmony in the lights,
Or maybe the wings of people on flights.

You could see your loved ones,
Hiding behind the face of the suns.
Look into my pupil,
See the passion asserted in dupils.

The bright night sky,
Provided me a place to fly.
Running my finger tips through it's star dust,
Flashing a smile from far to dusk.

Can you feel the magic in the air?
You can find it in the heart you wear.
Or perhaps the the world above,
Where the most magic is part of.

On your way to this journey,
Grab ahold of the night sky firmly.
And never wonder why you have nothing,
As long as you have that harmony in grip,
You may have a long fullfilling trip.

Go You Say

Oh the winds,
Pounding on my hinges.
The blowing of the snow,
Motivating me to...go?

Ha, go you say so?
I think, no.

I'd rather pull my blanket over my head,
Lie in my body heat in my bed.

Cascade the world to a different bloom,
As I lie here....in my 90 degree room.

You say we build a snowman?
I say you have gone crazy man.
Go?
Ha! I don't think so!

We have body heat for a reason,
And to betray it, like treason?
You can build a fort!
You can make an angel!

I'll lie here...In a puzzled kind of sort.
I'll lie here...With my blanket in a tangle.
