Suicide Tourism In Switzerland

A paradise
You enter the country
Someone will follow you
And kill you gently
In a dark alley
Paradise never was so relaxed

My Favorite Currency

I like a global currency
I hate to convert money
In Laos
Wars are fought and lost
Over paper money
That is worth nothing
When are they making money
Out of rice
So more people can eat when they starve

The Toy Factory

My child has no toys
They were all made in China
And broke in one day
My child is in therapy
All his life
And has been divorced twice

Expectations Gone Wrong

I always come to my senses
When my family has gathered
Around my sick bed
They expect me to die
But I laugh at them every time
“I am still trying to get an inheritance for you”
Without it I know
You will tap me on the shoulder
And ask for my stock holdings
And hidden Swiss bank accounts
They know I have no money
To pay for my funeral
Therefore I cannot die
Living is cheaper
Than dying
My family is looking
In the wrong places
Look under my pillow
You will find my excrements
And wonder
Why I have lived this long
Without telling you
About my private life
High up in the Andes
Where the Yogis live
And prosper

The Bali That Follows You

What is life but a fantasy?
When letting go of old wounds
Hurting your memory
Easing the pain of yesterday
Is there anything more fantastic
Than your final destiny?
If you can see
Into the burial ground of time
Smell the flowers
In the arctic hands of a Balinese girl
Who sings to you only
If you dare to kiss her on the mouth
You may want to brush your teeth first
Before she disappears from your embrace
And stabs you in the neck
With a stone age dagger
Don’t worry
You have been alive for a Kodak moment
She smiles
And you will return to Bali
To find your burial ground
On the side of a sacred mountain
The view is excellent
And very private
The girl is not there
She moved on to another moment
She is now in high school
And sits behind me at recess
With a dress and nothing underneath

The Admission Process

China is becoming
A member of the European Union
So they can bail everyone out
All the good jobs
Will be taken
By Chinese immigrants
Mostly from Tibet

I Am Not An Ivorian

In Ivory Coast
You don’t walk
Outside unarmed
Without your hands up
May be
You will not be shot that way
By a sniper
But snipers have their own way of thinking
About your life
Not everyone has a right
To a long happy life

Market Value Re-Visited

My market value will increase
When I am resting in a coffin
Dead people don’t talk about the stock market
There never has been a better investment
For my dead body
My family had no other use for it
Burning a dead body gives you ashes
But you have to travel far
To spread them in holy places

Extra Room For Overeating Anonymous

Extra room for overeating anonymous
Some Americans
Look like refrigerators
No wonder
They have eaten
Everything that is inside
For years
Now they are building refrigerators
With extra rooms
