Nikki Williams Poem
As it shattered, shutters burst
But the silence was shattered first
By the angels who learned to curse
in dormitories, thirsty on the second story...
Through tattered shutters stumbled morning,
and leaving not one conscience snoring,
found its girls in white all stained with night
and no longer alluring.

Nikki Williams Poem
Mistakes are born in sterile rooms...alone in isopropyl fumes
Beneath a spray of congratulations
Aware of darker connotations
Mistakes by fools who lose their gloves...fools in grade school, not in love
confirming all the allegations
Provoking late night altercations
These, mistakes not forgive: not put to bed like little fibs
No, you will grow to rue that day
when you realize what you walked away
from.

Nikki Williams Poem
And then.... the walls
"Those bloody walls!"
Those screaming, bleeding, ghastly walls...
I daren't venture through that hall
alone,
though it does never pall...
and though the chapel never sleeps
-at night the stained glass cleans it's teeth
I often hear the droning, deep
and distant...from the walls that weep.
